If the last line in the story is all the teacher said, then there is a lot of oversensitive people in that area. People tend to fill in gaps with ASSumptions, and then consider it real.

Had the teacher mentioned the name of the "president", then I can understand there would be a certain amount of "oversensitive reaction".

I'll bet the Secret Service brushed off this case already.

Any details about what had clearly taken place seem intentionally vague. For all we know he could have been making direct reference to past presidential assassinations, which would have been permissable in a history class.

from what i understand because this is not the first i have heard or read about this is he was referring to the current president but he was saying it was hypothetically speaking. and my statement still stands, when is it ok to wish death, hypothetically, on anybody. let alone the president. whether you agree with him or not he is the president and if he fails america fails. i hated bush but never wished death on him, he was still my president just a dumb one.

I suppose never, if your patriotism numbs your sense of freedom.

Who are you to judge anyone as being unpatriotic?

When is it ok to wish death on anybody? Well, take note everybody because I have the answer...anytime you [email protected] well please! While I admit it wasn't the most appropriate analogy to use, in a high school class no less but, has anyone ever heard of the term "freedom of speech"? In addition, are you now adding people's thoughts and "wishes" to what you want to censor? You sir/madam are a [email protected] @ss!

You do realize that the Second Amendment was put in place for various reasons, amongst those reason is the ability to overthrow an oppressive government....I think you can understand what that means right?

But my question to you is, since when was it patriotic to pass laws that trample on the Constitution?

i dont agree with censorship in any fashion, understand that but anytime white people in america dont agree with you you are a socialist, a fascist etc etc. if that is his stance on the president who cares, dont teach that ignorant ish to children.
oppressive government, where have yall been. america was build on oppression of all its citizens. the problem is the church folks dont want their rights taken but they want to tread on everybody else and control everybody else.
speak your mind, but their is a time and a place. this country would be alot better if people could talk about issues gracefully and not try to belittle others.

now if i was in the streets and i threatened to kill one of you, even hypothetically, i'd be arrested. why should it be any different. its one thing to disagree with the MAN but wish death on him, call himj a monkey etc etc.... that lets me know its not his policies some white people have an issue with. its his skin color.

You do realize that ALOT of teachers try and force their liberal/conservative views upon children all the time everyday right? Keeping your policial leanings out of the classroom is a must and any teacher pushing this should be canned flat out.

And the problem some blacks have is they think all whites are racists. Anyone who pulls the race card loses credibility right off. You do realize that there are blacks that don't even like the President right? I wish people would stop making things an issue of race, you do nothing more than keep the BS going.
And this is coming from someone who has a son who is part black.

i dont agree with everything he stands for. hell i agree with republicans on some issues but if you believe that their are white people who disagree with him solely because he is black. they won't admit it but you see the underlying hidden hate they have in their heart. oh he's not my president he black people's president. i hated bush but he was still my president. didnt agree with anything he stood for but he was still my president. oh he's going to hand the country over to black people.calm down, until black people as a whole learn to move past a slave mentality we will never be able to unify. and this is coming from a black man. i can see the beauty as well as the ugly in my people. can you do the same.

Yeah I can, again I was with a Black woman for many years and have a son with her that I love dearly, sadly her and I are no more. My current woman is Italian/mexican and Im German/Japanese there is no way I can hate anyone considering I am or have pretty much every danged race mixed in some how.
Sadly I wish more young Blacks looked up to Bill Cosby or Morgan Freeman instead of Al Sharpton, Tupac etc.

morgan freeman i can understand. forget bill cosby. if im going to look up to anybody its going to malcolm x, after the pilgrimage to mecca and you may not see it but their was a lot i learned from tupac. obama is somebody who on a daily basis teaches me something. nothing to do with his policies but i see a man that no matter what is said about him, he keeps a cool head and responds intelligently. and i was not trying to accuse you of being racist. what i have come across on sites like this is, when you dont agree with someone they proceed to throwing out old stereotypes and name calling. if someone has to resort to all of that then they really aren't saying anything to me.
