When he stepped off of Air Force One in sunny Hawaii this week to begin his annual Christmas vacation, President Barack Obama managed to escape Washington but not "the bubble." At home or on the road, the president lives in an isolating world - a White House world staffed by thousands of people who protect, advise and serve him at an annual cost to ...

Might suggest that the bad guys are winning and that evil has a never ending part of our life. maybe if we as a country took a smarter and final soloution for the trouble makers on earth we would see some progress.

We live in a dangerous world. Yesterday, someone tried to crash their car through the Secret Service baricade at Obama's vacation home in Hawaii. You sure can't blame the Secret Servi ce for keeping the president behind closed doors.

HOW ABOUT LESS ABOUT "YOU" AND MORE ABOUT YOUR COUNTRY?
nevermind....such "extreme" views are not tolerated here I know. That would be considered 'extremisim, or socialism.'
We have all been taught that "me first capitalism, will pull ourselves and others into prosperity by proxy." But what you have in America is opposite of that. An economy that doesn't enrich others but an economy that LEECHES off of others.
American economy is cannabilizing on itself. Matter of time before it runs out of it's own arms and legs to eat.
Good luck when capitalism sees YOU as the next MANDATED CONSUMER.
LOL too late.....thank you Obama, your job was done when people elected you. When the people bought your golden speeches and your heavenly rhetoric. Now you are showing yourself as the conman that you are.
Obama, you are a tool, and sad thing is you Obama, think you are some talented politician, when you are nothing more than Public Relations Spokesperson for the "firms" you work for.
YOU ARE A TOOL OBAMA.

yeah, it's bizarre how presidents and others are treated better than royalty ever was. We do not have a king!

Then corrupt guys like Obamma and Clinton can take the entire royal court, hundreds of people, to foreign countries and stick us with the bill!(as Obama just did in India....what a waste of money that was....even for govt work!)

The idea of this Republic is that anyone should be able to lead, based on ability. This guy especially is no better than millions of others. Why treat the prez like a king?

This article is such baloney. The author doesn't mention the issue of race and the number of death threats the president receives each day. The author also hasn't seen the photos of the president getting mobbed by admirers after every speech and public appearance. He is not afraid to wade into crowds and have people embrace him, whereas Bush didn't want to touch the common folks. Did you see Bush wipe his hand on Clinton's shirt while they both were shanking hands in Haiti? Disgusting.

Absolutely not. That's why he also gets people challenging him, like the lady who told him she was tired of defending him. Do you think anyone ever got close enough to challenge Bush?

America, a nation that is made up of backward thinking brain dead people and run by non other than dim witted politicians with egomaniacal personalities whereas the only person that really matters is them. Our government is no longer for the people, by the people, for we the people have allowed politicians to think of themselves as royalty, and we the people are only their subjects, we work for them and they have no accountability nor do they have to account to us the people for anything they do. There is no good reason it should cost the tax payers over a billion yes a billion dollars a year to protect any individual, as with any job there are inherent dangers and being president is not excluded, any candidate that runs for office should be aware of and realize the potential risk in pursuing public office and decide if they are willing to take the risk without an army of twenty thousand plus security guards holding their hand 24 hours a day seven days a week at the tax payers expense. THEY ARE NOT ROYALTY!!!

Just for Air Force One alone at $181,757 per hour, round trip cost:$4,180,411. I almost forgot, add a separate flight for Moochele and the kids at $6,330 an hour,$72,795 total flight cost one way plus security and other costs because she didn't want to wait a few days and fly out with B. Hussein. And this is at least they're second trip there at our expense. As for the other expenses, they also have to be in the millions.

It's good to be King.
