A CORRUPTION TOLERANT CULTURE
The conclusion that can be reached from the brief review
of 20th century corruption in Cuba is that it has
been and continues to be a highly widespread practice.
Although corrupt acts in Cuba have been and
continue to be punishable offenses, from a cultural
perspective they have long been tolerated and accepted.
The revolutionary experience added several new dimensions
to corruption’s cultural acceptability
through the confiscation of private property during
1959 and the early 1960s and the practice, followed
for 40 years, of expropriation of the material possessions
of those emigrating from the country. The need
to rely on the black market also lent cultural legitimacy
to corruption. Two Cuban generations have
grown under a socialist system in which stealing from
the State is regarded as an appropriate material survival
mechanism because many market activities legal
under other forms of political organization are proscribed.
A post-Castro Cuba will be forced to cope
with these attitudes and begin to implement appropriate
policy measures to gradually diminish corruption.

There was not enough vaccine for a hospice in northern NJ where they have 400 children with various serious conditions. They were given 100 doses by the DOH, enough to vaccinate 25% of the children just once when they really need 2 doses, 3 weeks apart. How dare they waste these on this terrorist vermin when there are innocent high risk American children that need it! How dare they!
I can not beleive I living in USA with those kind of shortages , a vaccine. My God!!

They are as much terrorist as your a doctor lol.

They have never been charged with a single thing and no trial for close to 10 yrs.
Funny same thing that Castro does but it's okay if USA does it. There is NO difference but Miami Cuban fascists don't care.

Cuba will always be corrupt. Look at Miami's Cuban politics . Probably the most corrupt bunch/ethnicity in USA .

Castro has nothing to do with us in Miami. Its just this Cuban low political standard "thing of ours".

Forbes mag said "corruption in Miami OFF the charts". I wonder which ethnicity runs Miami politics, most city officials ,etc ?

To begin with unless the "new" Cuba is some type of American province. We will NEVER have fair, honest elections.

As a physician who is a Sr Advisor on HealthCare Reform, I must insist that Congressman Scott Garrett and congressman Tom Price, MD, have the very best options for healthcare reform. They have plans that will make healthcare affordable to more people than Nazi Pelosi or Obama can. It would also put control of healthcare in the hands of "the people" not the "elite" in government. Do you realize that "the Elite" such as oboma have especial priviledged insurance paid by the taxpayers and that it is unlimmitted, no deductibles, no co-payments, no pre-authorizations, no denials, no caps, and all meds and tests are eligible without question? "We The People" "The Cattle" "The Slaves" paY TAXES SO OBOMA CAN GIVE A PARTY WITH $100.00 steaks! So he can live a life of luxury and unlimmited medical benefits while they connive to socialize medicine and GOD knows what else!
But isn't that exactly what you islamo-fascist-pinko-commie-na zi-rats and swine want?

..........

Yes, I am wealthy, and have already procured back-up medical insurance for myself and my family overseas! We also have businesses and property overseas. I have done this since I've had the foresight to do so for my family

The problem is that I cannot do this for the whole country. People have to take responsability for themselves, as I have.

I became wealthy because it was my responsabilty to do so, so that I could provide for myself & loved ones. It was through hard work, and sacrifice and resposible & diligent effort.

Others should do likewise. Work a bit more, waste less, and invest in the future. But many live in debt, using credit cards to live beyond their means and then whine! Most of these, are thge ones that are losers and become frustrated with their viscious circle losses that they have brought upon themselves and then blame society and the establishment and turn to the left! They are jealous of those that worked hard, saved for a rainy day, and are envious and covet what others have!
An example of this is the troll we call "mojon" aka cherokee!

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Taurus

It's no good - the prospect of visiting the post-Christmas sales has become too tempting for you to resist any longer. No matter what you're doing today, you'll try to squeeze in the opportunity to dash around some of your favourite shops and see what's on offer. You could snap up some bargains but you should guard against the urge to splurge on items that you don't really want or need. The price of something may have been slashed but the acid test is whether you'd still buy it if it were full price. If not, leave it in the shop!
