Jindal, Palin defend 'Duck Dynasty' star

Dec 19, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Local10.com

In light of "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson suspension from the show over anti-gay remarks, Republican Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal indicated media outlets have thrown out the First Amendment and the "politically correct crowd" is only concerned with viewpoints they agree with.

Bobby Jindal is an idiot and Sarah Palin is...well...Sarah Palin. It's amazing that anybody gives a hoot about a single thing either of them says. They are completely irrelevant to life as we know it on this planet.

And Little Liar, if you're going to pretend to be from a foreign country, at least use the correct syntax for that language.

He is absolutely free to speak as he wishes. He is also free to face the consequences of that speech. Realize that all the complaints of what he said is also free speech.

Umm I'm often accused of being one of those leftist liberals. And personally I don't think he should be silenced.

His employer (A&E TV) obviously does not like the problems he has caused them and has taken action.

Funny that the only time you think an employer has a right to discipline anyone is if they echo your prejudiced BS

Yet you have no problem with Russia making it a crime to express opposition to their anti gay laws.

For someone who doesn't know me from a man in the moon you're quick to jump to conclusions about my poilitical/personal views.

FYI: This AIN'T Russia. If you're so damned concerned about RUSSIAN Gay rights go THERE and protest.(I'll mail you soap-on-a-rope).HERE Gays have EVERY right to express their opinions, openly live their lifestyle and in many places marry. But let one old man on TV express HIS religious viewpoint on the subject and the "open minded, tolerant" bigots on the left demand he be silenced. You hypocritical SOBs are quite protective of free speech as long as it corresponds with your views.

Seems there are quite a few people whom do not understand how their 1st amendment works.

Lets start at the beginning of this silly issue. A reporter, knowing full well of his christian background asked him about his own opinion regarding gay rights or whatever. So he is doing an interview and asked; he was not out there advocating against gays, simply giving his opinion when asked.

Being an interview these comments of his were made public.

A&E didnt like these comments and felt it has a bad image for their brand and let him go.

Now im not going to get into whether is was right for them to let him go for stating his opinion during an interview when specifically asked about the issue or the morality of it and focus strictly on the 1st amendment issues.

He is free to give his opinion about whatever it is he wants and he will not be prosecuted for that opinion.

AE also has rights which allow them to let him go whenever they feel as long as its not for basic set of discrimination laws (gender, race, religion, ect). Also being a right to work state as well as any other contractual agreements that may be in place; I believe AE would also be legal mitigated from prosecution for letting him go.

In short, you are free to speak your opinions, but that doesnt mean you have to.

So.,by your line of reasoning, just because Gays have the right to speak about their Gay lifestyles they shouild remain silent. Have I got that right? "In short, you are free to speak your opinions, but that doesn't mean you have to."

Whether you agree or not about what Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty said or with the action taken by his employer, A & E, this is NOT a freedom of speech issue. The fact is, A & E, as a private entity, can suspend or fire any employee for speech that said company finds offensive, just as any other business in the United States can. So many people do not understand the meaning of "freedom of speech".

Phil's statement was not made on the show. It was during an interview with a print media publication, with no connection with the network. A&E was wrong in this instance, surrendering to the hypocritiacal "open minded and tolerant" bigots on the left. The left will defend your right to free speech as long as it coincides with their views. How nice.......

Gays used this non-threatening issue to regain attention in the press. Stymied in their effort to use the New Jersey lesbian to manufacture some sense of discrimination and recently hampered by their true representative elements of depravity exposing the underbelly of homosexuality, they had to regain exposure by restricting a man's expression of faith in something other than the homosexual agenda and dominance. One of their "couples" are arrested for torturing and sodomizing a seven year old son of one of the "partners" in Alabama. The local news outlets are reporting homosexual rapes and crimes at increasing rates. The gay community has to manufacture a false "homophobia" issue to cover the revelations of their true natures.

It doesn't take much intelligence to understand "suppression of speech" for no good reason. Gays blackmail A&E to promote their deviance and no other views are allowed. A&E is therefore guilty of conspiracy to cover the true depraved natures of homosexuals nationwide.

That doesn't make A & E wrong for their decision. The management at A&E has an obligation to protect it's shareholders and any associate who threatens that outcome with activities or opinions made in the public is subject to removal from their employ.

The gentlemen that made the comments is protected in America for stating his opinions, he's not guaranteed freedom from reprisal from his employer for his opinion or violating their policies of conduct .
