If Trump wasn't president this never would have happened.

The voters are so angry at the legal system for doing what they were told to do that the public is going to downvote Rubio on Facebook. He''ll then get re-elected because nobody wants their past bribes invalidated.

It may have happened, but the response would be different.

The president asking for teachers to be armed isn’t listening to the victims. It is listening to the NRA.

Obama was up against representatives in both parties who were beholden to the NRA. Studying the problem and an attempt to implement legislation was futile.

Until these young people are old enough to vote and take control of the situation, nothing will change.

If the rest of the country’s youth are anything like these students, I have some hope that eventually things will get better.

Who is “beholden” to the NRA, and why?

Anyone who accepts money from the NRA to thwart any and all legislation to regulate gun ownership.

Marco Rubio is clearly afraid to say anything. He is very hesitant to even study the problem and had plenty of time to do so before this last horrible mass shooting in the state he was elected to represent.

It will be interesting if he is allowed to represent them in the future.

The dead and injured victims are being forgotten because of the shrill idiocy coming from these very poor representatives, whose travel, room and board and video games are paid by Leftist extremists.

If these twits are responsible enough to represent Leftist politic, then they are responsible enough to be arrested for criminal slander. Bowing to these shrieking bullies is impossible. They are mentally ill and may have been the bullies cementing the demented murderer's feelings of betrayal and isolation. Yes, the bullying mentality exhibited by these mentally challenged people very likely is dripping with the blood of innocents... but not the innocents of the millions of aborted babies they haven't and won't defend.
First off you stupid fucking fish, abortion has NO place in this.
The only problem with abortion is that you managed somehow to not be aborted.
Twits?
These kids are twits because they would rather not be surrounded by weapons of war in the hands of untrained, unregulated citizens with undetermined mental capacity?
The twits in this debate are the ones who think that owning a weapon of war is a right protected by the constitution.
The only twits I see in this debate are the politicians bought and paid for by the gun lobby.
The twits are the ones who believe that more weapons=safety.
The only mentally challenged people involved in this are the ones who say nothing can change because laws don't work.
The only bullies here are the gun nuts who think their 2nd amendment rights are more important then a child's right to attend a school without being killed.

If teenagers couldn’t legally purchase assault grade weapons, this -never- would have happened.

By that "logic" (and I use that term loosely) anyone who takes money from pro DACA groups and open borders groups are beholden/responsible for the death of Kate Steinle and others who've had their leves end at the hands of illegal alien criminals.......

So you’re admitting you know nothing about the NRA, the NRA gives out very little political money, unplanned parenthood gives out four times as much money.

Rubio will easily be re-elected.

So then this didn’t happen, the shooter didn’t have an “assault grade weapon”, what about the three firearms he had illegally, would you have felt better had he used one of those?

Face it, the FBI dropped the ball, again.

If liberals are so bent on disarming America, why didn't they have a loud out cry when Obama, Hillary and Holder was doing all their gun running to terrorist and cartel members.

They can't by law now. You have to be 21 and have a federal license to buy an Automation weapon. You sure don't know much about our laws.........but then again most liberals don't.

Says who? The last time all it took was access to the parent's gun safe.

Americans are overdue to ask themselves if they trust their government more than they trust their neighbor. Then they have to give up their guns or go to war.

Stop all the posturing. The rest of us know that we aren't included in your government vision one way or another. You can say "You're either with us or against us" all you want. We're effin' against all of you! Fight your war already!

Automation weapon?

Did you maybe mean automatic firearm?

The other term your searching for is Federal Firearm License, which is not needed for a semi-automatic assault grade weapon.
(But 100% should be)

You don’t seem to know much about anything, cupcake.

Then you're calling Wikipedia and the DOJ morons.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault_weapon

The law allows civilians to own semi-automatic but not automatic variations of the weapons, but there's undoubtedly easy modifications that convert a weapon to fully automatic. I doubt the instructions will be too easy to find on the Internet though.

The question is "Why are so many people interested in possessing such weapons?" It seems to me that we'll be seeing people looking to get a return on their investment if things don't get sane again.

The right to bear arms was based on the need for "militias". I'd say that there was a veiled implication that we might need to rebel against a local tyrant someday, but right now, I don't see either party faction as the good guys.

I'd side with the liberals if they could side with me, but no. They only want subservient family men or castrated gays. The matriarchy won't stand for an independent male. They say they will but they simply never will.

The patriarchy? They won't even talk. The matriarchy says I need a "good attitude" which easily translates to patronage. The patriarchy only wants you to wear the leash. You choose the leash if you want to belong to the herd. A single male is still the first sacrificed though.

I'm sure that I have nothing to gain by endorsing either. Fight the war already.

Depends on whether you use the definition from the Gun Lobby or not.

An Ohio bill defines an assault weapon as "an automatic firearm that has not been rendered permanently inoperable, a semi-automatic firearm capable of accepting a detachable magazine with the capacity to accept ten or more cartridges, and a semi-automatic firearm with a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept ten or more cartridges."

Alternatively, why not let you friendly local LEO, or street thug, start shooting you, just to make your point?

You stop him at the point you feel assaulted, cupcake.
