Judged: 1 1 1 That's not true. I didn't reply to the post you are talking about. Didn't even see it. I was replying to your silly post claiming someone didn't answer you. So, I did. This quote is not my post. You know it, that's why you deleted the poster's name. Do you think you are fooling anyone? If you can't be honest give it up. |

Judged: 1 1 1 I apologize. In that case, he acted as a private police force.... "George Zimmerman not a member of recognized neighborhood watch organization by Alexis Garrett Stodghill | March 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM Comments 0 neighborhood-watch-4x3-trayvon -martin.jpg When 28-year-old George Zimmerman was discovered by Sanford, Florida police standing over the body of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, they accepted Zimmerman’s claim that he killed in self-defense as a neighborhood watch captain. Now, through a statement released by the National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA)— the parent organization of USAonWatch-Neighborhood Watch — it has been revealed that Zimmerman was not a member of any group recognized by the organization. Zimmerman violated the central tenets of Neighborhood Watch by following Martin, confronting him and carrying a concealed weapon. “In no program that I have ever heard of does someone patrol with a gun in their pocket,” Carmen Caldwell, the Executive Director of Citizens’ Crime Watch of Miami-Dade, told theGrio.“Every city and municipality has their own policies. Here in Miami-Dade we train people only to be the eyes and ears of their communities. Not to follow and most definitely not to carry a weapon.” Despite this, Zimmerman admitted that he had fired a weapon on the night of the incident. In addition, the non-emergency call Zimmerman placed on February 26 before the shooting revealed he had been pursuing Martin by car before accosting the youth on foot — all direct violations of Neighborhood Watch policies. Trayvon Martin: 15 facts you need to know about teen shot in Sanford, Fla. “The alleged action of a ‘self-appointed neighborhood watchman’ last month in Sanford, FL significantly contradicts the principles of the Neighborhood Watch Program,” NSA Executive Director Aaron D. Kennard, Sheriff (ret.) said in the press statement.“NSA has no information indicating the community where the incident occurred has ever even registered with the NSA Neighborhood Watch program.” The USAonWatch-Neighborhood Watch Program manual advises volunteers about how to notice basic things about persons deemed to be suspicious such as height, weight, style of dress, and hair color. Local law enforcement agents also work with official groups to tailor specifications concerning how to discern potential criminal activity depending on the particular communities they are in. In this way, Neighborhood Watch has assured theGrio that the potential for racial profiling is curtailed. In Zimmerman’s case, he would have recognized that Trayvon Martin was a non-suspicious part of the citizenry had he received proper training. The complex where he was killed is middle class and mixed race. But registration with the USAonWatch-Neighborhood Watch Program — which would have provided this training — is not a requirement for forming a group. “We’ve got approximately 25,000 neighborhood watches registered now, and the neighborhood watches out there far exceed that number,” Chris Tutko, the Director of Neighborhood Watch for the National Sheriffs’ Association told theGrio.“We give people the ability to register if they want to. What registration does is give groups a repository of resources.” Registration also pairs groups with local law enforcement mentors, who sometimes run background checks on members. theGrio: How black Hollywood has reacted to Trayvon Martin death “But it’s not mandatory,” Tutko continued.“A group of people can get together in an apartment building and say,‘we’re going to watch out for each other.’ And that’s it.”..." |

You can edit out the quote and the link to the Miami Herald story I posted… but that won’t mean it isn’t there for anyone to see. But you are correct Martin wasn’t charged… but he was found with enough evidence TO BE charged according to what the article states and my understanding of the law… but he wasn’t charged, nor was he convicted of anything except vandalism. Zimmerman was charged… but he was never convicted… doesn’t that make him innocent or at least ‘not guilty’ in the eyes of the law? What ‘eyes’ are you using? Cherry pick your talking points from the truth all you want – but like editing out the quote from the Miami Herald, that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen and it won’t change the actual facts. |

You become dumber by the hour. Watch out seconds. Something is about to come your way. The only thing that the Judge Lester will be deciding is whether or not statements that Zimmerman gave to the police will be made public so that the media can get their hands on it. Maybe some other housekeeping things, but certainly NOT to send Zimmerman on his merrily way. Keep dreaming. |

Well, since you've apparently seen the Twin Oaks neighborhood watch guidelines, how about you post a link so the rest of us can have the knowledge you apparently have? I have read the BOJ guidelines, but they are just a non binding guideline and as I said I haven't found any posting of them. Also as I mentioned - Zimmerman was on the way to the store when he spotted Martin, he was not working in his capacity as neighborhood watch. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2012-03-2... |

Judged: 1 1 1 They are known sick trolls on many topix threads, they change names but its the same sick stuff. They look for attention, a very strange phenomenon. I've been on the thread Barack Obama Our Next Preident for a long time, there are some interesting people and discussions, but then there are the stalking trolls too. Mostly they are sick white supremacist haters, gun nuts etc |

Judged: 1 1 1 Where did that prediction come from Farmer? It is routine for defense attorneys to make such motions. Is that all that you've got on this issue? |
You say of Martin: "nor was he convicted of anything except vandalism." What date was that charge and what date was that conviction? The Sanford Police Departments says that did not happen. Where is your proof? SPD would like to talk to you about withholding such information, I'm sure. You making them look bad. Please tell us what "eyes" you are using! |

I hit the reply button to post # 24712 and that is what was printed out in the 'quote'. http://www.topix.com/forum/us/TKPEED6J6ONM651... I cut out the lengthy and redundant section and posted my response to the question:“HOW DOES THIS SOUND?” My reply was that posting Zimmerman’s record sounded like a distraction from the topic that was being discussed, in my opinion. I just pushed the button. I’m not responsible for how it was copied, quoted out – sorry ~ Feel free to check for yourself, hit the reply button for post #24712 and see how it is quoted. |
