Cummings put the fear of God in Issa when he said that he was going to call for him to step down. Isaa knows he went too far and is trying to backtrack. We do not accept your disingenuous apology… but we now demand that you apologize to President Obama.

Cummings deliberately caused a diversion so they would adjourn the hearing. He is a common everyday man of the street with little knowledge of decorum. He has no manners.

Issa has disgraced the nation with his show trials and abusing congressional powers before the international community.
If he was honorable he would display any remaining dignity and show respect to Congress by resigning his chairmanship.
Issa has shown himself to be no more than common trash. A typical street thug and Meth Addict.

apologize to obama????

I see it the other around. obama needs to apologize to the american people and america for his constant lying.

as for resigning, it's obama who should resign, not issa. hell, as I see it, reid, pelosi, hillary, rangel, holder, napolitano, etc.... the list goes on. they should all resign for all the laws they have broken. and the harm they have caused the country.

this administration is the absolute WORST in the history of the usa. bar none. obama makes peanut brain carter look good.

What a funny fantasy world you must live in.

Republicans have disgrace and outright betrayed this nation over and over again and yet their only defense is to point at the other guys and scream "evil" in the hopes small minded fools like yourself buys into it.

Issa did not apologize to Cummings, he did nothing to apologize for. The meeting had already adjourned when Cummings asked to ask a question, then decided to make a speech instead. Watch the tape. Cummings ranted on to divert attention from Learner and the spying Democrats to some imaginary affront. It didn't work. The old guy was too slow

Some of the idiots on this thread should watch/listen to the conduct of Cummings when his party was in the majority and he was chairman. Members would express points of order and he would scream at them and threaten to have them physically removed from the room. This type of conduct was a regular behavior for this fat little clown. He has real anger issues.

Oh, I forgot. He's a liberal. This type of conduct is excused when it comes from a leftist like Cummings.

Cummings exposed Issa for what he's been doing — misusing and abusing his position in an effort to craft impressions of one Obama-implicated scandal after another. Through the years of his committee disservice, he has wasted congressional time and taxpayer money acting as Fox's co-architect of manufactured scandal scripts. He needs to step down or be brought down for such shameful misappropriation in the service of creating an alternate reality.

Issa owes an actual, as in genuine, apology to President Obama and his other victims, including Clinton (Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi), Lerner (IRS IRS IRS) and others (yada yada yada) for attempted slander and character assassination. However, that's not going to happen because he lacks such basic decency and cares only for himself and his own corrupt political career.

As a patriotic member of American congress, Cummings stood up to Issa by exposing him as the tyrant he has chosen to be. Issa's effort to minimize his own responsibility for his own behavior by accusing Cummings of having a "hissy fit" is the same strategy of attempting to create a false self-serving image that he uses in his committee to cast aspersions on Obama and others.

Cummings deserves national recognition for standing up to Issa, while Issa deserves national recognition as a weasel, one who should be run out of town if he won't leave voluntarily. He's the Joseph McCarthy of the 21st century. Thank you, Mr. Cummings for exposing Mr. Issa for all of America to see.

I remember Elijah Cummings quite well from senior high school (Baltimore--1969). He was always the consummate self-promoter; little seems to have changed. He staged that ridiculous scene with Issa because he sensed the walls are closing in on Obama's thugs at the IRS --- hardly a "phony scandal" or "smidgen". If the media were even quasi-balanced, heads would be rolling all over D.C. by now.

P.S. If "Marine Corp Pat" was a marine, I'm the 12th Iman coming to get him!
