Republicans begin pushing tax cut bill through Congress

There are 88 comments on the The Times Bulletin story from Nov 15, 2017, titled Republicans begin pushing tax cut bill through Congress. In it, The Times Bulletin reports that:

Republicans began pushing a broad tax cut for businesses and many individuals through the Senate Finance Committee on Wednesday, a measure complicated by a late addition - repeal of the Obama health care law's requirement that Americans get insurance coverage. Erasing the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate provided Republicans with more money that they used to make some tax breaks for people modestly more generous.

Damn Republicans. What about the people that don't pay any federal income tax - what do they get out of this?

Senate Republicans’ new $2,000 child tax credit helps them, but doesn’t really help the poor

Marco Rubio would get $2,200 a year more.

A poor single mom would get $75.

How very “conservative”

Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tennessee, introduced five articles of impeachment that include:

-Obstruction of justice for tRump's decision to fire former FBI Director James Comey

-Two Emoluments Clause violations

-Undermining the independence of the Federal Judiciary

-Undermining the Freedom of the Press.

Marco Rubio would get his taxes REDUCED.
The poor single mom who pays NO taxes would get $75.
Sounds like a win-win to me!

Republican Tax cuts marginally increase income and not enough to cover the increase in living expenses to improve GDP.

$1182.00 annually or $24.00 per week for the typical family of 4 , earniing $45,000 & below.

And by $688.00 annually on incomes from $75.000 to $125,000

The Barack Obama 2011 2% "Temporary Extension of Tax Relief" were larger.

The 2011 tax cut was for individual taxpayers whose adjusted gross income were less than $200,000 for individuals and $250,000 for married taxpayers

Seems like tax reform would be better if some of those things like removing the AMT (which only applies to rich people) were removed after 3 to 5 years instead of making all the rich-people-only stuff permanent, and things like the child tax credit expire in 5 years.
