That's all they have really. I really think they just hate republicans so much, that they don't even care about anything just speaking against them. It's pretty sad. I may not agree with liberals, but I can still listen to them and allow them to make a point and even say they are right, if they were. It just rarely happens. When you don't have a clue about anything, it's much easier to sit back and just call people names and tell them they are stupid or rascist. It's the world we live in now. Just dumb!<quoted text>Why is it that so many Dems resort to namecalling and put-downs. Grow up and learn some respect for your neighbors. Post something that actually goes toward the GOOD of our neighborhood.
U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush on Tuesday cruised past longtime Blue Island Mayor Don Peloquin, who'd hoped his name recognition in the Southland would help him upset Rush.

Making you intolerant teaparty punks eat as much EXTRA SALTY crow for being total a-holes who shot your mouths off, pushed divisive policies on this nation and treated the rest of us like crap (over and over again) IS for the good of our neighborhood ... and the good of the entire UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
The fact that you don't like it proves that this is EXACTLY what we should be doing. And I'll continue to do this ... over and over again ... for the next four years.
You will now reap the hate that you've sowed.
And if you don't like it now that you're on the receiving end of it?
Too damn bad!
You have two choices:
1) You can leave or ... better yet ...
2) You can stick around, refuse to take "personal responsibility" (act like innocent victims and point the finger at everybody else but yourselves), and refuse to learn from your mistakes.
I'm hoping on the latter - so we can help rip your party even worse the next time.
You're now free to continue CRYING ... while I continue laughing at the political carnage I've helped inflict on you by voting straight Dem ticket.
Thanks in advance you loudmouth wuss!
#25 Nov 9, 2012
I have to admire someone like you who's at least honest enough to admit you continue to vote a straight Democratic ticket since you're party has controlled Illinois so long and our state is in such great fiscal/financial shape. You should be proud of yourself.

Who's dumb sweetie?
Let's recap all this shall we?
When you said it was gonna be Michelle Bachmann we said it was gonna be Romney.
When you said it was gonna be Rick Perry we said it was gonna be Romney.
When you said it was gonna be Sperman Stain we said it was gonna be Romney.
When you said it was gonna be Rick "Frothy" Santorum we said it was gonna be Romney.
And we were right!
When you guys said the polls were "skewed" and that "Romney was surging!" we told you he was gonna take a beating because America doesn't like your policies or ideology.
And we were right again.
When you guys insisted that this was in the bag for Romney because Dick Morris and the partisan hacks at Faux News said so we told you to put your money on Vegas and Steve Silver.
And we were right .. again again.
When you guys said the teaparty was gonna be a force we said it had run out of caffeine.
And we were right ... again again again.
When you guys said you would take back the Senate we told you that you were OUT OF YOUR MINDS and that you'd lose seats when it was all said and done.
And we were right ... again again again again.
Get the pattern there? Or are you "dumb"?
Let me be as clear as I possibly can here ... because you still don't get it: WE WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG.
And you? You were WRONG!
Do you feel dumb yet?
You never had a chance from the get-go. You let the conservative media tell you that your divisive views represent the country's as a whole.
Feel dumb yet?
You let the conservative media tell you that running on a platform of obstruction was gonna win you the presidency.
Feel dumb yet?
You let the conservative media tell you that making Obama a "one-term president" your "Number 1 priority" rather than say .. the economy, jobs, ending the GOP wars you started, etc ... was gonna win you more seats in Congress.
Feel dumb yet?
You and your repuke buddies spent MILLIONS of dollars to get a "filthy stinking hippie communist Nazi socialist un-American Muslim traitor" re-elected.
And not just any "filthy stinking hippie communist Nazi socialist un-American Muslim traitor" either ...
a BLACK one!
Feel dumb yet?
You repuke sheeple let the conservative media LIE TO YOU OVER AND OVER AGAIN while they robbed you blind!
And you STILL don't feel dumb yet?
Now go lick your wounds you pathetically clueless moron - you're interrupting my laughter over here.

Menace, you are the one who seems angry. You talk about pointing fingers, who's fault is it that we are now about $15 trillion in debt? Since Obama has been in office, he has put the US in more debt, then ALL the past presidents have, COMBINED! Seriously, does that not bother you? That is scary as hell. It show be to everyone. I don't hate Obama, and because I care about this country, I hope he can do a good job, but the past four years, he has proven to just put us deeper in the hole.
You talk about hate, you are the one hating. It's not a race thing. I read the bible and I believe in God. I vote for the same values that this country's foundation was built off of. Obama is the opposite of that. Plain and simple.
#28 Nov 9, 2012
Menace may be profane & blunt in his assessment of why the GOP failed but he is right. There is no other way to paint it. Nice, you seem to cast dispersion and have little respect for the bold face truth. AND that is the problem with the GOP. Truth to them is what they think it is...not what it really is. The GOP is so far off base in what the modern American culture is that they took a beating at the polls because of their lack of perception. And it will only be worse for them at the next big elections. The new power at the ballot box are the Latinos. The one racial group that the GOP has hard time coming to grips with and respecting. As long as the Democratic Party helps and integrated the Hispanics into the ranks od American culture, the more the GOP becomes the outsider. even Rush Limbaugh grudgingly admitted to that fact.
#29 Nov 9, 2012
Menace: You spew hatred, but you fail to realize that Illinois is such a good(bad) example of how the Democratic party can run the rest of our country into the ground. Stop your grade school bully talk - you're just as bad as all the bad political ads on both sides. How about your positive views on how to help our country/community. Too much hate from you - you sound like Obama phone lady. Too many people want free things; too many people driving Escalades with $100 nails and fur coats using LINK CARDS! When 50% of the people in our country aren't working and the rest are paying for those, how long can it support itself? It will only get worse. More people will not be able to work & more will be on the taking list. Again, stop the hatred! You were supposed to learn good sportsmanship when you were a child. Don't you realize that you are contributing towards the divide in our country yourself. Remember that you're talking to the people in your community - not Fox. You show you know nothing about what the conservatives stand for. "Running on a platform of obstruction"? Give me a break!
#30 Nov 9, 2012
You sir are oblivious to what the GOP were trying to flim-flam the nation with.
The platform Romney had no chance of ever winning the voters HE NEEDED TO have to win the White House. Every Political commentator has made it very clear that the GOP THOUGHT THEY HAD THE ELECTION IN THE BAG. But they forgot one thing. The GOP primary exposed Romney for who he really was and showed that he could care less for the working man, the poor, Black Americans and the Hispanics who destroyed him at the polls. And to make matters worse the Hispanics are becoming a huge force at the ballot box. Romney & the GOP learned that sad fact when he lost Florida which always goes to the GOP. The Cubans always go with the GOP...they didn't this time because Romney treated them like trash, like he did other Hispanics. Rush Limbaugh has pilloried Romney, Karl Rove and other republican insiders for what he called a "Monumental" screw-up.

Pick up all your signs!!!!!
#32 Nov 10, 2012
I couldn't be prouder! I was part of the NATIONAL MANDATE that showed you guys the door - you lost the presidency, more seats in the Senate and more seats in the House.
After what you did to the country as a whole under Dubya when you were left a SURPLUS and you guys gave him every single thing he asked for with ZERO oversight ... I'll take Dems over Repukes every chance I get kid.
Let's take a look at some conservative policies you guys have championed and you can tell me which ones have worked.
- Deregulating the banking industry via the Gramm/Leach/Bliley Act.
- The CFMA 2000 that prevented the govt from exerting ANY oversight on derivatives markets.
- America's Home Ownership Challenge/American Dream Downpayment Act where Dubya aggressively pushed the private lending industry to make over 1.1 trillion in low income and minority loans and to "create more creative" loan products to do it.
- Dubya's TARP that extended into Obama's first fiscal year in office.
- The UNfunded war in Afghanistan to go after Ronnie's "Freedom Fighters".
- The UNfunded war in Iraq that Obama ended.
- Drafting 3,000 Natl Guardsmen off to fight in those wars so they couldn't help during Katrina when they were needed HERE.
- The underfunded NCLB that 44 states have opted out of (so far).
- Dubya's medicare Part D fiasco that only narrowly passed because the cost of the plan was (admittedly) hidden from those that voted for it by Medicare administrator Thomas Scully.
- The corporate welfare (bribes) for Big Oil to keep gas prices down.
- Repeated tax cuts for the rich to "create jobs" that have ended up in China and India with factories paid for by those tax cuts. Republicans insisted that corporations: 1) be paid in advance 2) to do something they never did, 3) be allowed to keep the money instead of returning it, so that 4) now the NOT RICH taxpayers have to account for the money by paying it back (essentially pay double) since it 5) screwed up the deficit.
Can you tell us which of these worked exactly?
And I only ask because well, WE'RE STILL PAYING FOR THEM!
Where's the national debt at as a result of all of those?
What's the unemployment rate?
Where's the price of gas at?
Maybe this is all just a "mental recession" and you're part of a "nation of whiners" like Phil Gramm said?
Maybe Faux News won't tell you this but I will: these weren't "liberal policies" - they were Neocon/Republican/Conservative chest-thumping policies!
So again, could you tell us which of these 11 GOP-championed policies worked?
But let's go back further shall we?
Let's look at the financial collapses of this country and see which party had the presidency ...
Every time our economy begins to falter, a Republican is President!
Herbert Hoover - Great Depression
Dwight Eisenhower - 1957 Recession
Richard Nixon - 1971 Recession
Gerald Ford - stagflation in 1973
Ronald Reagan - "Black Monday," Oct. 19, 1987
George H. W. Bush - 1991 Recession
George W. Bush - start of recession/depression of 2008
See ALL THAT above? That's why more and more people are voting against republicans - despite what Dick Morris and Karl Rove told you over and over again leading up to the pounding you took Tuesday.
My job is to make sure this hurts you as much as possible for as long as possible.
Looks like I'm doing pretty good so far!
#33 Nov 10, 2012
Here's the problem in a nutshell - the repukes ignore reality - like polls - when it tells them something they don't want to hear. Just like under Dubya, they still think that their party represents the country in general when they're clearly in the minority.
They've been on the minority side of issue after issue - tax increases on the rich; Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid; oil subsidies and corporate welfare; gay marriage; gays in the military; a pathway to citizenship; etc, etc, etc ...
And yet they completely ignore all that and refuse to admit it's their ideology!
Remember Paul Ryan saying: "I don't consult polls to tell me what my principles are or what our policies should be. Leaders change the polls ..."
Looks like he neither followed the polls nor changed them.
And they lost badly because of it.
#34 Nov 10, 2012
LOL "free things"? Quoting the divisive talking points on the Right are ya?
Is that YOU Mittens?
Demonizing your fellow Americans and hiding it behind your "patriotism" and your American flag made in China or the Cayman Islands?
No wonder you're pissed - YOU LOST!
You're one of those people who were gloating because 68 out 72 fox news hosts and/or on air contributors predicted elections sweeps for Republicans Monday or Tuesday before the results started to come in.
I'm glad to see you've learned nothing from your latest political collapse because I'll get to tear your party down at the polls next time too.
DON'T YOU GO A-CHANGIN'!
And just so you know .... I show others the same amount of "good sportsmanship" (respect, consideration and compassion) that they show me - not an ounce more.
Now do tell ... did you decide whether you were going to leave or not?
#35 Nov 11, 2012
I seem angry? Is that because you redefined laughter as a sign of anger after this election you lost? Or because I just made you look "dumb" in front of everyone on here by asking you questions you don't want to answer and now your poor feelings are hurt?
Since about 70% of the current national debt is from REPUBLICAN presidents like Reagan and the Two Bushs .. that means Obama did NOT "put the US in more debt, then ALL the past presidents have, COMBINED" you moron.
Therefore I'll lay about 70% of the blame at their feet.
Didn't Faux News tell you about that? Or were they too busy LYING to you about Obama and the upcoming election to tell you the truth about Republicans?
Can I call you niceandstupid from now on?
Don't ever throw a repuke talking point my way .. because I'll shred it ... and you ... to ribbons.
How much did you complain when Reagan was running that debt up, or Bush Sr, or Dubya who damn-near DOUBLED it?
I'll bet you didn't say a damn thing about it!
Now let's look at the past four years where "he has proven to just put us deeper in the hole".
Newsflash: CONGRESS controls the purse strings of the country - NOT the president (unless of course the president is getting everything he asks for FROM congress like Dubya did).
Didn't Faux News tell you that? Or were they too busy LYING to you about Obama and the upcoming election to tell you the truth about Republicans?
Newflash: Obama has had more planned obstruction from congressional repukes thrown his way than any other president you can name.
Didn't Faux News tell you that? Or were they too busy LYING to you about Obama and the upcoming election to tell you the truth about Republicans?
Why no mention of Mitch McConnell promising in '07 that he would block Dems every chance he got by insisting on 60 votes for them to pass anything out of his Senate since Dems would then have to rely on Republican votes to get anything accomplished? Or how he then told his GOP senators that under no circumstance were they to vote with Dems on anything less they incur the party's wrath for being bipartisan?
Why no mention of those RECORD number of (over 360) GOP filibusters since 2007 when the Republicans lost their majority in the Senate?
Why no mention of Republicans imposing an unprecedented blockade on Obamas nominees for dozens of seats on the federal judiciary or imposing record wait times delays more than FOUR TIMES longer than judicial nominees experienced under President George W. Bush?
Why no mention of Republican Senator Jim DeMint saying of blocking Obama's health care on 07/17/09: "If we're able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him."?
Why no mention of Republicans voting against the Conrad-Gregg fiscal commission legislation - legislation that seven REPUBLICANS sponsored - as soon as Obama started considering it?
Why no mention of the Washington meeting Republicans had on the eve of Obama's inauguration? Or the House Reps who were there? Or the Senators who were there? Or Newt Gingrich? Or Frank Luntz being in attendance? Or how that meeting was spent plotting out ways to win back political power by obstructing Obama's legislative platform and especially his economic agenda regardless of how much it hurt the country and EVERYBODY in it?
Want more examples? Just ASK!
Didn't Faux News tell you any of this? Or were they too busy LYING to you about Obama and the upcoming election to tell you the truth about Republicans?
See, we've just officially determined that you're uneducated and stupid, a gratuitous liar who can't think for himself, and a brainwashed, Babble Thumping hypocrite who's anything BUT Christian.
Congrats on that!
The country just slapped your ears back at the polls with a MANDATE against everything you pray for at night.
MY God won!
Now go back to post # 26 and start answering those questions I asked you. And when you're done with them you can answer the ones here too.
#36 Nov 13, 2012
Way to go 5th Ward!
#38 Nov 18, 2012
. Ok, take a breath, wipe the froth from yuour mouth, put down the Jack Daniels and ...how do I break this to you ...your Messiah and the Democrats ..doesn't give a damn about you and only has one thing in mind - moving America to socialism and destroying what our forefathers died for ... Aren't you proud! So keep spewing your ignorant filth ...it becomes you! And when he offers you the "free koolaid" ...take it!
#39 Nov 18, 2012
In my opinion, Democrats exploit the African and Hispanic people for their vote and keep them down. If they wanted you to succeed they would develope your communities, create jobs in the community, promote education and health prevention. Don't vote for a D or R because you feel you have to. Research and vote for the candidate that represents your views not a party or someones skin color. All we do is limit our potential and voice as Americans.
#40 Nov 18, 2012
This is one of the smartest comments I've read here in a while. Blue Island is in for a big change if our next Mayor wins backed by the Democratic Party.
#41 Nov 18, 2012
I already told you how proud I was that you guys took a beating at the polls.
Are you illiterate from all the lead paint chips you had in your diet as as child? Or is it from the inbreeding?
I'll keep spewing my "ignorant filth" over and over again until you can stop me.
Now tell me ... what can you DO about it ... except cry over all your heroes getting voted out of office?
ANYTHING AT ALL?
LOL ... that's what I thought kid.
I hope you're enjoying the crow you're being force fed (through your tears) while you're thinking of some witty retort.
I can't wait to see your answer to my question there!
#43 Nov 18, 2012
Hey Reagan was a menace, have no clue what is going to happen in 4 yrs. I am a Dem and were going to get our butts handed to us. O is killing us and doesn't represent Conservative Dems like me. Can you go to the grocery store and give them hundred dollars and get 200 in food? No! What would happen? You would go to jail and the store would go out of business. Guess what? Job loss! That is where were headed. Vote liberal Dem and were doomed. Research liberal and Conservative and you will see Conservative is 75% of Democratic Party. Now African and Hispanics wake up and stop being a puppet for Madigan and Crook County machine.
#44 Nov 18, 2012
You must either be the poster child for oxygen deprivation or you're a Republican. Or both.
Which is it?
I never said anything about Obama turning the country around you illiterate moron.
This is all about payback for republicans shooting their mouths off before the election results came in because they're all mindless conservative sheep who believed the 68 out 72 fox news hosts and/or on air contributors (like Dick Morris and Karl Rove) who predicted the 2012 election WRONG.
The fact that you lied ... as soon as your second sentence ... means you already lost right out of the gate there!
Now lets address your talking points shall we?
You "think Obamacare is going to cause much more layoffs because businesses are not going to be able to afford to keep employees?"
So let me guess ... Fox News not only lied to you about the 2012 election results, the never told you about the TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS that businesses are sitting on HERE while they refuse to hire HERE in spite of budget-destroying tax breaks they got to do so?
So these companies had the money for CEO bonuses and golden parachutes (even if they screwed up the few months they had the job)... but they DIDN'T have the money to hire workers HERE?
So companies had the money to build factories in China thanks to those GOP insisted tax cuts ... but they DIDN'T have the money to hire workers HERE with the money from those tax cuts?
They had the money for an army of lawyers to find every tax loophole they could qualify for ... but they DIDN'T have the money to hire workers HERE?
They had money to inject roughly 4 BILLION dollars into 2012 political campaigns ... but they DIDN'T have the money to hire workers HERE?
And this after they've already been sitting on TRILLIONS of dollars as it is?
Yeah ... just ignore all that above and keep blaming "Obamacare" rather than blatant, pure corporate GREED, kid.
You just got done getting almost every election prediction wrong and now you think you can predict more stuff now?
LOL ... can I call you Nostradumbass?
Who will "liberals like myself" I blame "if this country is in $30 Trillion in debt, unemployment is at an all time high"?
We'll blame the political party who has run up about 70% of the national debt so far. The same one that did NOTHING but obstruct all progress that's good for the "general welfare" of this WHOLE country because 1) it conflicts with the and 2) because it wanted to (again) make a Democrat president getting kicked out of office their "number 1 priority" and do it at all costs.
Now when will you start taking some "personal responsibility" for voting for and enabling the people behind all that obstruction that's been going on since even before Obama sat down in the Executive chair?
Let me guess: Never?
And if you're stupid enough to say "What obstruction?" I promise you I can fill the next two posts up with examples of consistent obstruction from people like yourself who like to talk personal responsibility but TAKE none of it.
Call my bluff on this one - I dare ya!
