President Obama asserted executive privilege over documents related to the "Fast and Furious" operation Wednesday as a House panel moved to hold Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.

I was so happy that President Obama poked his finger in the eye of that right-wing jerk Darrell Issa’s political witch hunt against the Black AG by invoking Executive Privilege… that bigoted tea-bagging bastard. Fast and Furious was a operation started during the Bush Administration… the right has bitten off more than they can chew on this one; they have no end game and this will backfire big time if they go forward with this frivolous ‘Contempt of congress’ vote.

Interesting, claiming Ex. Privilege about something that Obama has repeatedly said he knows nothing about! Hmmm, what are they really trying to cover up? If it was really (yeah right) just the continuation of Bush's gun program, why are they holding back information about it? Oh, right, because it wasn't the same program. Bush's program tracked all the guns, and there were fewer than 20 total, and none even got over the border. Holder/Obama little plan, to discredit gun sales and lead to tougher gun control laws, sent over 2000 guns over the border with no tracking at all. Perhaps that little bit of e-mail conversation is what they are trying to cover up. They seem to care not at all that a man was killed. And while Mr. Holder "says" lots of things, most are turning out to be untrue. He DID know about F & F, Mr. Mukasey actually DIDN'T know about the supposed Bush program. What else has he been less than truthful about? Will the MSM finally get a grip and start reporting about this? Or will they continue the cover-up started by this administration?

Executive Privilege would apply only to communications, directives, meetings, memos, etc. specifically between the President and his Cabinet members, or other agencies, those communications directly related to involvement of the President in matters investigated by Congress. Executive Privilege would not apply to communications and directives between one government agency and another, which the subpoenaed documents are. Thus, such an Executive claim is not only unconstitutional, but asserts the incredible wrongness, that an Attorney General in charge of the Justice Department can set the guidelines of investigation by Congress without the slightest legal foundation... this after having his own investigators supply Congress with a false letter and him taking eight more months to admit it was false.

The absurd proposition that the Justice Department can tell Congress who, what, when and where they can investigate an egregious abuse of power resulting in the death of a US agent and hundreds of Mexicans, clearly insults the American people.
