A bipartisan committee of senators working on an immigration bill could fail its time-line goal if Republicans insist on a hard-line policy that includes sealing the border before any possibility of legalizing about 11 million illegal immigrants living in the U.S. The group composed by four Democrats and four Republicans, is set to unveil a draft ... Are you saying then, that an alcohol brain sodden, lecherous old geezer of a senator (Kennedy) was able to out-maneuver the "greatest" president of our time (at least according to you neo-cons).
Doesn't say much for old Raygun, now does it?
Not saying much for you considering Reagan left office in 1989.

He's also dead, what's your point?

I was responding to Mr./Mrs. Criket23, who was the one who raised the issue of Reagan versus Kennedy vis-a-vis the "amnesty" act of 1986.

Point is Reagan had no control over what the Democrats did after he left office.

The Democrats lied and you blame Reagan.

OK, I'll play along even though my posts had nothing to do with Reagan, other than making a counterpoint to Cirket23.

Reagan was in office for 8 yrs and had the same access to the same intelligence and information that Kennedy had. Since Reagan was president and Kennedy failed to ever get a nomination, then one can assume Reagan was more intelligent than Kennedy. Since Kennedy had other "distractions" in his life, one would conclude that he was not exactly 100% there when it came to politics.

Your supposition that Kennedy lied and Reagan fell for it does not, in my opinion, elevate Kennedy but instead diminishes Reagans stature. Kinda like watching the Roadrunner outfox Wile Coyote. Cuz lets face it, if a dumb bird outwits a supposed "willy" coyote, you gotta rethink your opinion of the coyote.

I have ICE on speed dial and have personally reported more than a dozen businesses who employ illegal aliens. I know for a fact that this has lead to at least six deportations.
Sounds good to me, if everyone just would do the same.

<quoted text>It's funny how you seem to think we're paying too little for "groceries, hotel rooms, yard work, roofing, houses and babysitting". You're more than a little out of touch if you think those items are cheap. Then again, since you're obviously a strong supporter of the liberal position, maybe you're also on welfare and have these things paid for by the taxpayer.
he would like more money in his pocket . wouldnt we all but if your illegal be happy to get anything before they toss you out. he figures if we pay more he will get more . NOPE!!!!!!!!!! that will be the CEO"S making the money you might never see more then min if that . And never and benefits. But then your illegal dont expect much.

<quoted text> Ronald Reagan will be called ultra liberal by your filthy mouth! I would rather have same ideas like the greatest president than ideas of your conservative talk master rush Limbaugh aka "pain pills master"...and for your information blaming CEOs it's a liberal tactic not a conservative agenda ... Do yourself a favor and shut your filthy mouth because you will never be a man like your mother was
Get some help then go back to school. You're obviously way off mentally.

It's too bad we can't get the Hispanic Americans to do that instead of hiding the illegal aliens!

No what I'm saying is that President Reagan made the mistake of believing a lying Democrat name (I can't swim) Kennedy.

Which is typical for the Democrats!
