Opinion: Obama's Biggest Failure Has Been On Race Relations

Nov 5, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: CBS Local

Even those who were for Sen. John McCain for president in 2008 took comfort in knowing that even though McCain lost, having the nation's first black president would most certainly lead to an improved relationship among the races in the United States.

I think Obama has been great on race...at least with the "open minded" and non-racist.
Just look at any sizable group of his supporters and you will see the "true" America from every socio-economic, racial-ethnic and gender background, being reflected in that image or video.
Then look at the demographics of his opponents' supporters. It tells all!

The problem lies with white male Republican/Conservatives who refuse to see the light of day. The only thing for them left to do, is to try to convince decent white folks that "ALL" of Obama's supporters are some type of "parasite" mooching off the system. To there dismay, they are rapidly finding that their own wives, girlfriends, sons, daughters, employees, employers, co-workers, cousins and even friends, who appear just as white as themselves, are turning a deaf ear to that propaganda, and is really beginning to despise that demeanor and rhetoric. Many of their own nearest and dearest are trying their best to convince them to leave a path of hatred and malice and embrace a more diverse populous, that will make us all strong, viable and relevant. I know you may think it's all about the economy and money, but "Man certainly does not live by bread alone". What good is it to have all the economic prowess in the world and not be safe, or disliked by the rest of the world. Or worst yet, "Lose your own soul", that is if conservatives truly believe in God, as they make themselves out to do!

I, as a black person in these United States of America, am very proud of my white brothers and sisters who insist on better from their own, without losing their much needed love for their own. They have no problem in tolerating the ignorance and shortcomings from their own, because they demonstrate the same tolerance for other groups. But work toward the betterment of all groups. That is the high and lofty goal and standard to be attained by us all.
Good and decent black and white folks don't put others over their own race, nor do they put their race over others! They rather, choose to put others "BESIDE" their race, to respect and honor the rights and ambitions of others just as they do their own. I t is these Americans, who will fight tooth and nail and stand upright stiffly, for right! Not trying to be perfect, but trying to be perfectly fair about it all. Embrace that ideal, I say!
