Very true. Doesn't planned Parenthood give out condoms and such for free?

You know, I'm not a big fan of people dating for a couple of months, having sex, and then moving on to another person to date, and start that process over. It just lowers sex to an instinctual thing.
I'm kind of an old fashioned romantic. If I was ready to have sex with someone, it means I'm ready to marry them. So I would ask them to marry me.
Obviously, I'm in the smallest minority. It's my wish that people would take responsibility for their actions. Birth Control is essential if you do not want kids. I think that has a lot to do with why some hate abortion. The feeling is that people are reckless with sex, so they use abortion to clear up their irresponsibility.
I don't support abortion, but it's important to understand why some people do. That's why I'm asking honest question about your view. I don't hate any of you who support abortion. I am saddened because, in my perception, life begins when the egg is fertilized. I've read all the scientific definition on here so there no need to go back through them. It's just my personal conviction that life starts at fertilization
Does any of that make sense?

My family has had to visit the abortion fairy more than once for various reasons since the 1980s. For most people this is a difficult decision, not birth control. It is a necessary medical procedure that should not be subject to the whimes of the mob, but discussed with trained professionals and used when it is the right decision for the actual people involved. And in my personal opinion on the matter.... the process that creates a life starts at fertilization. The political arena is not the place to discuss medical procedures. And by the words of our very own Constitution, the gov. has absolutely no business in protecting the unborn. No mention of such power is even hinted at. You cannot be a citizen or under the jurisdiction of the federal gov until you have been born a citizen.

I do have a desire for romantic companionship and a desire to have sex. That makes sense to me, for me.

I see. I'm not driven by sexual desire. That doesn't mean I don't date often. Women are so much more than their sexuality. I enjoy learning who a woman is.

Most of the women I know don't seem to have a problem living with their sexuality 24 hours a day. You may date often but if you are only willing to display your 'sexuality' after two months I am sure many of your second dates tell you that they have to go to Africa to help serve the poor in Christian hospitals at the end of the evening... Whatever floats your boat, honey.

Sex just isn't interesting to me. Being passionate about someone is interesting. It's difficult to find a good woman, much less one I'm passionate about. The women I meet often have the attitude of men. It's not sexy. A confident, feminine woman is sexy to me. A woman who wants to be a man isn't.

Cocked Hat wrote: I wonder how the decision to have sex fits into all this? Morgana 9, you have a good way of explaining things. Why do you think sex is a decision? Sex is a healthy needed emotional outlet without the intent to procreate. Ask any man. The deep dark secret is that it is the same for women, but for the people who believe women are secondary to men tend to believe a woman's only purpose is to procreate and thus they are obligated. This is a draconian religious point of view.

I believe a pregnancy begins and the host/main player is the woman/girl and her life changes medically/physically/financial ly/emotionally as a result. Thus her decision. Why does her life tend to take a backseat?
