But look at all the rest of the primary candidates. Jindal is right. The Repubs can't be 'the party of stupid" if they want to be relevent.

Poor moderate republicans They had to endure the candidacy of one of the greediest, most selfish men their party's leadership could dig up. If the moderates don't quash the venal right-wing elements that Romney so clearly represented, the republican party will be consigned to the dust bin of history.

Get a grip on reality.

The hurricane did Romney in; otherwise he is the President and there is hope for a brighter future.

And the "party of stupid" is what Republicans have become since Karl Rove dragged his rake through gun shows and sh*t-kicker bars to sign up enough uninformed people to get his buddy George W. Bush into office.

Then the choice of beauty queen Sarah Palin, who celebrates and personifies anti-intellectualism, brought the rest of the kooks out of the woodwork.

It is significant that Obama won by a margin of 13% with voters who have post-graduate degrees. He also won very decisively among Asian voters, among the most educated and successful of America's citizens.

Republicans used to be the party of America's educated, successful people. Now it is the party of the rednecks and the bumpkins with their adventures in politics paid for by billionaires intent on manipulating the ignorant to vote against their own best interest.

Working people voting for Republicans is like chickens voting to help out Colonel Sanders.
