Awwwww the poor little federal employees. Local government employees lost their annual cost of living raise about 5 years ago and got a tiny bit back this year, they got just enough of a raise to offset Obama's payroll increase for 2013.

don't expect us to weep/

Some folks seem to think federal employees(except military) are politicians?? There are many folks who fall under your federal employee status due to government contracts. Ahhh....we all work.

On this one I have to agree with the GOPasaurs.

Btw, even the military is projected to get only a 1% payraise for 2014.

2 million civilian federal workers earning on average over $70k plus a generous benefits package.

That's over $140 BILLION a year just in salaries.

pay freeze? how bout a cut...my biz has had 2 10% cuts the last few years, we barely survive....when obama care kicks in, that might finish us off.

It takes 3 federal workers to do the work of 1 real person...worker #1 is always off on vacation, annual leave, sick leave, the 19 holidays a year they get, optional mon-fri attendence, and worker #2 does the work, wrong, and worker 3 has to go back and fix it. I say fire workers 1 and 2, and tell worker 3 he gets 2 weeks vacation a year, like normal people, and if he complains, fire him too and hire from outside.

federal workers are almost worthless, just hired to fill diversity quotas, most of them cannot even read and write.

It doesn't take anyone to do yours.

It takes someone with a stamp.

Does that include members of the House?

How about these budget-minded Republicans
giving half their salary and benefits back
to the American people?

A modest proposal.
