Liberals, what will you tell your grandchildren when they ask you why you voted for Pelosi to become Speaker of the House? How will you explain your betrayal to them? Do you imagine they'll be understanding of you squandering their future away? I'm just curious.

I have no fear what I'll tell my grandchildren someday because I always vote for righteous candidates. They may not always win, but I have a clean conscious. Do you?

We the people do not have a say in choosing the Speaker, Neo. Please take a civics class.

If I'm ever lucky enough to have grandchildren, I would tell them not to believe the nonsense spread by righties vilifying Pelosi at every turn. She may not always say the right things, but there are two things I admire about her:

1) She is determined to provide a check on the president's use of executive power.

2) She's very, very good at getting things done.

The Democrats would be wise to choose her as their speaker for at least one year before turning that gavel over to someone with a fresh perspective. What they need, for now, is a veteran with years "in the trenches."

You're serious about that statement too. That's the scary part. No, we don't directly vote for the Speaker of the House, we vote for the congress people in our districts. However, when one party makes up the majority they pick the SOTH. Right now Pelosi is the Minority Speaker. You think by voting Dem congress people into office you are NOT voting to have Pelosi as SOTH. This is what is wrong with our country.

She is one of the super rich one percenters who want open borders but doesn't want any of the riff raff in HER neighborhood. Why does she need all that money if she doesn't help anyone with it? Her husband is a super rich one percenter too. Why do they need all that money?

I’d tell them to do well in school, go to a good university, study hard sciences along with high level math, constantly meet new people of different cultures, and travel the world whenever they can (military travel doesn’t count); otherwise they’ll end up like NEO.

She doesn't want open borders. Her words and actions prove that.

Quit lying.

Do you have any real reasons?

It really doesn’t. Most of the time you’re in base. When you’re out, you’re out with your buddies hanging out where other servicemen hang out. Kind of like sight seeing and not really immersed to learn.

IMHO, what's wrong with our country are people so blinded by partisan ideology that they can't even see those with opposing views as human, much less Americans.

You erred, and now you're back pedaling. Nice try.

Please provide a quote from Pelosi calling for open borders. Or any other prominent Democrat, for that matter.

And please explain why you vilify Pelosi for her wealth, but applaud Trump for his.

I’ll have no problem telling my grandkids that I voted in a way that combatted the hate and fear mongering from a bad president and worse human being in Donald trump.

I voted against locker room talk. I voted against a man that enjoys watching children change clothes. I voted against a man that mocks the handicapped and our war heroes. Against our president that promotes hate, racism and fear in his weak minded, obedient supporters. A man that puts himself far above the American people that count on him.

I have no problem looking at myself in the mirror. But thanks anyway for your concern.

So you voted Republican? Damn that is a surprise. Because the only ones breeding fear and hate are your Democrat liberal buddies.
