Basically, the plan would stop sending out money and start sending out food.

There is a cost savings benefit in this, but that's only worth it if people are still eating, specifically children. The food would also come from US farms and distributors.

Bottom line is that I love the idea. It will be interesting to see if this progresses and how it unfolds. I hope they do this right.

that sounds like the old way when folks had to go wait in line to get their gov issue for the month. folks stamps at one time were sold at the post office here,50 or 75 cents on the dollar as way to eat cheaper.

it would cut back on waste and fraud as well as motivate folks to get back to work or start working

I'm actually not aware of any family members that are on it or have been for that matter. How about you?

I'd love to see fraud reduced. Before the idiot crack heads ruin it for the people that actually need it, specifically children that aren't legally allowed (nor should be expected) to work.
