Plus Dorothy came from Kansas at a time Kansas actually existed unlike Jesus who came from a city that didn't exist until the second century :)

Dorothy is coming out way ahead I hate to say it believers.

<quoted text>Don't forget: Dorthy of Oz, lived in a REAL place: Kansas.

But wait! There's more! In Oz, Dorthy experienced a tornado that lifted up a whole house! That can really happen, in Kansas--where there really are house-lifting tornados!

But wait! It gets even better! The actual Wizard of Oz was >>also<< from Kansas! And got to Oz via a hot air balloon!

And it turns out? There really >>are<< hot air balloons! They really do fly!

So it must all be true, right?

Right?

And little Toto too?

Wrong.

The city of Jesus' origin existed in the first century.

It had a different name then.

There is a difference in being renamed and not existing.

If you changed your name today, it would not render you non-existent yesterday.

For instance, when a woman marries, taking her husband's name, she still existed when single.

Otherwise, it would create a huge mess with record-keeping, credit records, criminal records, bank accounts, etc.

I can explain this more if you are not catching on.

Oh, without a doubt-- Dorthy is >>loyal<< in contrast to Jesus, who isn't-- unless you act like a suck-up, of course.

Then Jesus is condescending to your azz...

I'll take Dorthy over Jesus any day. And the Cowardly Lion too.

False. Archeology has dated Nazereth-- it did not exist during the alleged Jesus-events. Not even under a different label.

You are so very wrong? It's pathetic.

Exactly Nazareth is not built on the ruins of another city. There really wasn't much of anything on the land.

Buck has a lack of blood flow to the brain because of all that fat. He is probably due for a stroke soon if he doesn't get on a heart healthy diet with proper exercise.

Christians love to lie in order to justify or scare people about their beliefs
On of their favorite lies is this: America must not become another Rome. Rome fell because of immorality and homosexuality.
Some godbot was saying that shyt to me.

http://www.topix.com/forum/afam/TB7D3DSH7930G...

I had to teach this dumb godbot some real history.
Rome fell twice, the Western Empire in 474, the East in 1453. On both dates, they were christian. By 474, hey had been christian for over 140 yrs. In fact, Rome reached it's zenith when it was most pagan and homosexual(under the reign of Emperor Hadrian). Pagans at the time blamed Christians for the empire's fall.
The truth is, that xtians love to rewrite the history of Rome so they can use it as a way to scare Americans into voting them in so that they could impose useless abstract moral laws on the rest of humanity

Indeed. It was christianity which enabled the inevitable decay of the Empire-- Xianity teaches it's people to be mindless sheep-- easy prey for barbarians.

Did you see how now they are saying that ancient Christians were not persecuted for their beliefs as much as previously thought?

And this from a study at catholic college Notre Dame!

The study shows they were prosecuted for breaking the law. It seems early Christians were quite the belligerent bunch contrary to what modern Christians want you to believe.

Of course they were... the local gods were usually a strict part of the culture, and therefore a part of the local laws too.

They were all law-breakers. And I have no doubt, proud of it too.

Even examples of them storming another religion's temple and proselytizing shouting at worshippers.

When you look at the record of Christians who were executed for just being Christians? Few and far between.

They were really just an annoyance it seems for their first 250 years.
