Ah, the stars.At night be looking for stars, try viewing away from the city.
My study of the local galaxy supercluster is an interesting revision of its structure. Yeah, away from the city, you can see stars 2000 times dimmer than the eye can see, even with a smaller 8 inch telescope. Instead of galaxies seen at 3 million light-years, you can see galaxies at 150 million light years...... the brightest galaxies you should see 400-500 million light-years away. But, you'll have to work at it.
