To the rest of the world, this problem is straightforward: If you have a problem with guns, then you should deal with the guns directly.

Thatís what other nations have done, from Canada to the UK to Australia to Japan, and they see dramatically fewer gun deaths.

The empirical research shows these are related: Where there are fewer guns, there are fewer gun deaths.

Period.

And gun control measures are truly followed with a reduction in gun deaths, suggesting that they save lives.

That America as a whole doesnít seem to get this is baffling to much of the rest of the world.

In my opinion, I think there is a combination of things going on.

1. Bullying and the internet.

2. Parental guidance (how are thee kids having access to guns)

3. Too many guns out there that are not being checked out correctly.

4. The wrong person with a dangerous mindset getting guns.

So with all these things going on, and maybe some other things mixed in, creating the Perfect Storm.

All this coverage gives a lot of people their fifteen minutes of attention, but raises the question of how much time the media and press spends finding specific people to bash the President.

Why are all these people spending time, money and the media on worthless rhetoric and emotionalism instead of respectfully reaching out to the affected families?

More gun laws aren't the answer. Teaching people to respect life is the answer. Starting with banning organizations like Planned Parenthood. You can't teach people to value life and allow Planned Parenthood to stay in business.

Respect life? What is life?

Life is an empty sound bite. Why can't we all just get along?

People need to imagine themselves having a future. Go send the jobs to India now. You're going to do what you're going to do anyway.

Wasn't this kid adopted??? At age 10 if I'm not mistaken???
Guess we should look into stopping the adoption process as well....

Adopted†child†syndrome†is a controversial term that has been used to explain behaviors in†adoptedchildren that are claimed to be related to their adoptive status. Specifically, these include problems in bonding, attachment disorders, lying, stealing, defiance of authority, and acts of violence.

Of the†500†estimated serial killers in U.S. history,†16†percent were adopted as children, while adoptees represent only 2 or 3 percent of the general population. Adoptees are 15 times more likely to kill one or both of their adoptive parents than biological children.Ē

Laws only work with people who respect the laws of the Country. In America people choose only to respect the laws they like, and ignore the others. The FBI was warned twice about the mental deranged Florida school shooter. The were too busy chasing Russians to follow up on the warnings.

'm not a political scholar like the rest of you guys, but.....
It occurred to m that perhaps the ATF might be more effective at dealing with firearm issues then the FBI. No outrage for the ineffectiveness of the ATF?

The easiest way to go from pro-gun to anti-gun is to have your child killed by one. Much as I hate you pro-gunners, I hope that never happens to you.

You are correct....Just think what life might possibly be like. If we did not have weapons in our past...Pretty sure The Civil War wouldn't have happened...

Lol Personally I'd like to have a Gun to shoot. The POS that killed my child. FYI...Childhood friend caught a stray bullet. Killed instantly...It is a cold case...Wifes cousin stabbed to death by some whack job. At the Gas station over 20$ he saw in her purse.... Dosen't change my pro gun stance....Accountabilty,Respon sibility......It is pretty easy to see. Where the Goverment system failed to do it's job....Had nothing to do with the weapon.....

It will be interesting to see if after each of these recent shootings how many NRA Parents have decided to withdraw their membership whether or not their child was directly affected or not.

Wonder if there is a journalist tackling that topic now?

Same goes for Illegal immigrants...Hope it never happens to you...Wolf

The 43-year-old Mexican national, Daniel Hernandez Del Angel, has been illegally living in the country for the last 22 years,†reported†WGNO in Metairie, Louisiana.

Officials in Louisiana charged an illegal immigrant from Mexico with raping a 7-year-old girl over a period of six months. Less than three weeks later, prosecutors charged the man with molesting the childís mother in 2003 when she was only 11-years-old.

An undocumented Mexican immigrant who was acquitted of state charges of murdering a woman on a San Francisco pier pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court today to two federal gun charges.

Jose Inez Garcia Zarate is accused of being an ex-felon in possession of a gun and being an undocumented person in possession of a gun at the time of the shooting of Kate Steinle on July 1, 2015.

While there is no excuse for evil people to attack helpless people, no, I would not become anti.
Should everyone have a gun, no.
Should our kids feel safe, or be safe in their classrooms?
You would thing that the powers that be would understand because of school shootings that schools can not be soft targets open to attacks like we have had. We do not desire a police state, but some reasonable choices to add to school security while pursuing other goals to provide safety for our most confined targets.

Funny how when the police are handcuffed they can not function in a capacity to protect their citizens.
