the dog is so little...and a Labrador...the most affecionate pet ever...possibly since he is a puppy, I'm sure they give him lots of stuffed toys and things like that..most likely the dog thought the baby was a toy...and as most dogs do grabbed him and shook him side to side the way dogs do...I'd like to know why on earth the mother and grandmother would leave the baby in a swing with a little puppy around...how foolish of them now not only is the poor baby dead but a dog will die also because this mother doesn't know how to keep an eye on her baby...you should never leave a young child or infant alone with a dog especially a young puppy that doesn't know any better....child neglect charges should be filed

ok I just read another article that they put the puppy to sleep, but in this article it says there were 2 dogs a pug and the lab, I don't understand some parents...how did they not hear the swing being knocked over or anything...where the hell were they...I'm sure these dogs did not "carefully" remove the baby from the swing....there had to be some noise or something geesh...

The mother and grandmother that was in the house when this happened should both be charged with child endangerment.
When the puppy first bit the baby you know the baby had to start screaming from pain.
Even a 2 month old's cries are different with pain than the usual crying of a baby.
If the mother was too young to know the difference, the grandmother should have known a normal cry from a cry of pain.
From what I heard on the news the dogs ATE parts of this baby.
I wonder how long it was before the mother or grandmother even checked on the baby.
I also wonder from the picture I saw on the news just what kind of people these parents were.
Was the young man with the "dyed bright gaudy red hair" the baby's father?
When people dye their hair these ungodly colors is that suppose to be a symbol of something?

I agree the baby was probably crying even if momentarily...i don't know about other people but when my son was born even if he made a whimper I was looking to see what was wrong...and i'm sure the baby smelled like milk to the puppy and the other dog...i mean these are dogs especially a puppy that doesn't even know any better...maybe euthanize the mom and grandma for ignoring the baby and the ruckus i'm sure was going on

unless the baby was already dead and the dogs were hungry. That would really make sense since the parents neglected the kid, they neglected the dogs too. either way, somebody needs to do some time for this one. bad parents, child neglect. Child neglect resulting in death is punishable with the deathe sentance. may justice rule for the baby.

If anyone has an ounce of sense in Tulsa, that family should lose custody of any children in their possession and ALL people in the house at the time of the baby's death should be charged and serve time. As much time as possible.
THEY killed the baby and the dog. It is indefensible and unacceptable.

I've read theories of why the puppy attacked. A puppy that young DOES NOT attack -- it plays. It did what young dogs do. It played that baby to death. If the baby had been a kitten, rabbit or bird it would have been killed if it could not escape. Infants can not easily escape especially when trapped in an infant seat or swing. That's why they are ALWAYS suppose to be supervised.

Someone in that house needed to get off their butt, walk way from the tv, put down the DAMN cell phone and see why the baby was crying but none of them did. Now they will blame a harmless--yes! harmless animal that was just a baby itself for their crime.

I hope the pug an any other pets are also removed from these idiots. This is so tragic. So very very tragic. May they rot in shame for the rest of their lives and I hope never bring another child into the world again.

My prayers are with the child and the puppy. My question is how many times does this kind of incident have to happen before people stop blaming and destroying the animal especially a puppy? These parents need to be held responsible for this tragedy. They were negligent of the child and the dogs. It might sound harsh to some but they probably shouldn't have had a child or a dog. Sorry but I'm just sick and tired of the animal getting a death sentence and the parents getting off with a slap on the wrist.

I really expected people to bash me for feeling bad about the puppy, i'm glad people are seeing it for what it was ....a neglectful act by the mother and grandmother who were home at the time...and the puppy just as someone else was saying was probably "playing" with the baby...puppies don't know any better

I feel sorry for the baby and the puppy. The baby should not have been left alone with an animal. I do unfortunately have to agree that the puppy did need to be destroyed after what happened. A dog can remember things that happen when they are a pup... especially involving taste. I taught my Lab a lot when it was a young pup that she still remembers. Let's face it animals like the taste of blood. Once this pup got the taste of the baby & it's blood it will not forget that...EVER. This terrible event ruined this pup as a pet in my opinion.

i totally agree with you on that...my sadness was not only with the baby but also a young puppy had to die also just because the mom and grandma weren't doing their job and taking care of their responsibilities...

reading that article makes me mad, that guy from EMSA saying what he did is ridiculous...and the whole ... saying that the puppy ATTACKED the baby...the pup probably thought that the babys a toy .. and the fact the baby probably smelled like milk....the problem with this whole b/s story is why didn't the "17 yr old" mother or grandmother hear the swing go down....probably cause they were f#$%(* sleeping..

Someone in that house killed that baby. . . And it wasn't either of the dogs. I wouldn't be surprised if this is another shaken baby case, with the parents encouraging the puppy to bite the baby just to avoid blame.

I SEEN THESE PEOPLE ON THE NEWS AND THEY LOOK LIKE GUILTY TRASH. THE NASTY OLD GRANDMA OUTSIDE SMOKING A CIGARETTE AFTER HER GRANDCHILD WAS KILLED MAKES ME WANNA VOMIT.
