This article presents a strong argument for stricter enforcement targeted at illegal aliens in the country and those who employ and encourage them to come here and remain here. As long as immigrating here is seen as easy and profitable and amnesty is being promised an increase in the number of illegal immigrants is assured.

ENFORCE ENFORCE ENFORCE....the laws on the table......put our returning military on the border....deport all illegals recently in. Why do we need reform when the idiots in charge won't enforce the damn laws we already have. Threatening to Americans will not fix the problem, Joe Arpaio will.!!!! Grow up DC, quit pandering and tell Obam to enforce the Sovereignty of our Country, the stupid clown......WTF

I agree, the military would do a great job securing the border. I also agree that Sheriff Joe is just the guy to get the job done when it comes to dealing with these leeching criminals. Hopefully the libturds and the elitist peckeeerheads will be ousted in the midterms so we can get pro American leadership who will put Americans before leeching criminals.

Only another illegal would call these illegals 'immigrants', they have no passport, no visa and no permission to enter like a real immigrant. Just brown wave burglars that need to be shot on sight just like any burglar you catch in your house.

The reason we have so many undocumented workers in the country now is precisely because of the border security. It was a self-fulling prophesy and has worked perfectly.

For 150 years we had a porous border. Every year groups of people would come across the border, work a few months and then go home. Nobody liked the idea, but the constant ebb and flow kept ensured that the total number of people was constant.

In the 1990's some groups such as FAIR recognized that there was a lot of money to be made inventing problems and exploiting people's fears. Suddenly border enforcement became all the rage and that is exactly when the spikes in the undocumented population began.

Resources were diverted to the border and as a bonus we inexplicably passed laws placing severe penalties on undocumented people who wanted to go home voluntarily.

The results were predictable. We now spend more money on border security then on all federal law enforcement combined and it is very hard to cross the border. It has spawned a whole new human trafficking industry.

Of course that means the people who used to go home after a few months now have too much invested in crossing the border so they stay here instead. In some cases they bring their families since they know they will not be going home again. In other cases they start families here.

We never had these problems in the past, but now we find ourselves in a situation where we have border security that keeps more people in the country then it keeps out.

Sure. Why not double down on a failed strategy? It will make the problem worse and then we will have more to complain about.
