Now is the perfect time to eliminate the 2 party system. Obama only has 3 years left. If Reid can't get this done, the chances of a third term for Obama are slim.

Thanks you, Harry Reid!

The Senate is finally open for business once again. Sadly for Republicans, the majority rules. That’s the way America’s supposed to be. We’re a democratic republic, not a Republican dictatorship.

Mitch McConnell embarrassed himself by responding to defeat by vaguely threatening “you’ll be sorry.” Truth be known, America will survive long after he has become only another bad Senator memory. That’s not to say we won’t elect other horrible political hacks who grow wealthy by selling their souls to the highest bidders. They come and go, but America progresses and grows in spite of them.

Those idiots in the Democrat party don't even realize they just killed Obama's entire presidency and will cause it to go down in history as nothing more than a waste of 8 years and a mistake to learn from. You better start praying hard something turns around because if not, R's will run the Senate come the mid-term elections...and then what will it take to undo Obamacare and leave it to history as nothing more than a short bad dream.....ONE VOTE!!!! What bafoons! Live it up Dems....you got a year and no matter what you do it can easily thanks to you be wiped away with nothing more than ONE vote more!!!

You misunderstand. Most of us want Senators to do the business of the Senate. We don’t want either party to “run” everything. Unfortunately, the Republicans’ agenda is explicitly to defeat everything Obama, regardless of means. Democrats’ agenda is not to block everything Republican, but to be responsible Senators.

It’s all a matter of ethics, judgment and values.

Really? Then Harry Reid is now going to do is job and stop obstructing all of the amendments and bills the R's have brought up that haven't even been brought to committee or discussed? Reid has been obstructing everything the R's have brought up and screaming about how the R's have obstructed Obama. What a class act. This is a desperate move by libs to get everything through that they want. Obama will pack the courts which is what this obstruction is all about so that he can then get the court to suggest that most of what he has done illegally with Obamacare is legal! That is all this is about!!! Values my ass....it WILL come back to haunt the Dems....and they will be the ones crying in their soup about how unfair it is to silence the voice of the minority and every American that voted for them.

What's funny is that Barak Obama said in 2005 that Republicans shouldnt change the filibuster law cause it would lead to one party ruling. All he needs to admit now, is that he is a DICTATOR.
If he is a dictator he doesn't need a Senate at all, nor the House, nor the judiciary.

The ACA being unconstitional- WRONG.
DOMA being constitutional- WRONG.

That's 2 things the GOPasaurs were wrong about just for a start.

The President has the responsibility to appoint people to fill court vacancies. The Senate has the responsibility to vote on those appointments.

Now we know why all those Government agencies have been hoarding ammunition. It is in case we decide to fight back. We don't have to do a thing. While we observe the ruination of the Administration of the first tribal President we can just wait, watch, and pick up the pieces in January 2015. Thank you Senator Reid. You underestimated the power of 2/3 of the American people who will meet you at the polls next November. In the meantime Democrats better do al their dirtiness in the next year, because they are gone in 13 months. You have just triggered a silent revolution, only we will do it at the polls.

The Senate has the responsibility of passing a budget EVERY year as well but that little job has only been done ONCE since Obama took office. So it's apparent O'l Harry doesn't give a sh*t about his responsibility, unless of course it benefits libs and Obama in general.

And your assertion that there is a demise won't get anymore accurate.

You should worry more about your own ilk. The self destruction is quit amusing to watch though!

My ilk is those who want to see Congress do its job, not focus on blocking President Obama’s efforts or make government programs fail by blocking appointments necessary to run them. We don’t generally believe that the end justifies the means, the “victory at any cost” direction that the Republican Party has taken.

I’m pleased to speak on behalf of my ilk. Perhaps you will choose to address yours.
