Since they are illegal they obviously don't have any work visa. And yes, they pay all their taxes. The only difference if they get papers is that they will be able to visit their countries and buy more valuable things like cars. For an American it would be no harm.
So without fake ids or work visas what are they paying taxes for or against. Do they have a federal tax id number? Do they pay local property and/or state income taxes on house someone else bought? Are they paying into social security, workmens comp, unemployment comp etc?

Oh I agree it's not just Mexico. A large chunk of the ILLEGAL immingration is from South America, the Carribean Islands, Europe, Canada, Russia. I've known Canadiens here ILLEGALLY after they got divorced from their legal US citizen spouse. I've know people from England who basically lived here off book for years before they decided to get their citizenship by their own admission-strange how they could afford Carribean vacations to the Bahamas & Jamacia but there legit on the books job was in big box retail. And yes the Irish and Scots you cannot barely understand are here for YEARS before they go on the record if at all.

ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, immigrants and aliens should be dealth with.

It won't pass the house because they know there won't be any enforcement, just like in 1986:
May 2006
Failed Amnesty Legislation of 1986 Haunts the Current Immigration Bills in Congress
"Day in and day out, as the immigration debate boils, the halls of Congress are haunted by the specter of Senate Bill 1200, the failed amnesty legislation of 1986.
"President Ronald Reagan signed that bill into law with great fanfare amid promises that it would grant legal status to illegal immigrants, crack down on employers who hired illegal workers and secure the border once and for all. Instead, fraudulent applications tainted the process, many employers continued their illicit hiring practices, and illegal immigration surged.
Today, senators who hope to put the nation's illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship say they have learned from the past. But some members of Congress and former immigration officials fear history will repeat itself.
Even some who favor legalization warn that the current bill, which requires illegal immigrants to submit affidavits, rent receipts and other documents as proof of eligibility, may fuel a wave of fraudulent documents and applications."

The good news is that Calif and most of the other pitiful "Blue States" will suffer most. Chain Migration will add 15 million new peasants using Family Reunification provisions.
Il and Mass will each add at least 8 million benefit and service starved unassimilating peasants in addition to the ones here already. And, with NO jobs for them.
You and your children will pay and pay and pay the price for failing to defend our own Country. Cowardice on this scale should be expensive.
We must reward them with citizenship. We have no choice.

You do know how the government works don't you? There is the pro illegal alien senate and the republican controlled house. If this bill is not killed in the house it will have so many amendments attached to it the senate might kill it themselves.
One amendment i hope goes on it is, kill the birthright citizenship Loophole.
They do not need the Hispanic vote. 58% of Hispanics live in California and Texas. That leaves 42% over 48 states. We are talking about 10% of the total vote even if they all vote democratic. 5.8% over 2 states 4.2% of the total vote over 48 states.
BTW, the popular vote is not what counts. Since Hispanics are the group who are least likely to vote and assimilate their votes won't mean much. They have to spread out cross the country but they won't because they like living on the border and speaking Spanish.
Congress cannot ignore the Supreme Court ruling on birthright citizenship.

It is the Republicans that are saying they need the Hispanic vote... you should give them your speech, but I don't think they'll be impressed with your data.

If by chance the Supreme Court becomes involved(birthright citizenship), The exact interpretation of the 14th Amendment will be reviewed and resolved once and for all. The 14th Amendment was never meant for children of Illegal Aliens to become (automatically) American Citizens.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

YOU notice the costs of this fiasco are NEVER mentioned. The taxes they think these illegals will pay is negilible, as they will still be making peanuts, and still getting the perks from their American-born kids. It does nothing to help Americans. Oh, wait, there will be more jobs! Goverment workers going over the applications should do pretty well financially, as they botch the background checks. Think of the fraud and the money that will change hands, oh, yeah, this is going to be such a wonderful initiative for the fool politicians. This administration has a habit of shoving things down our throat before scrutinizing each and every point in the bill, ensuring that is it in fact the best they can give us.

Would you like some cheese with that WHINE?

Look... as of right now... an illegal immigrant mother gets 18 years of welfare for their American born children. As soon as these illegal alien mothers become legal and able to work, they're thrown into work programs and time limits for welfare. It's all outlined in the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA).

What you're doing here is instilling fear based on conjecture as well as presenting some insane theory of some 2 class system of us and them.

I'm not crazy about giving illegal aliens citizenship, but I am open to giving these people paths to legal status and work permits so that they can pay taxes.

Just think about it, if an illegal immigrant mother and father of 3 US born kids become "Legal", they now get to work legally, even it it's minimum wage for the rest of their lives, the important thing is that they're also putting an end to their welfare mooching becuase ways unbeknownst to them... they're surrendering their 18 years of welfare for their US born children and the father is subject to pay child support which will lower any welfare the mother and children might get. Even if the father hides... mom is limited to a time limit as all legal residents are.

So to say that the taxes they pay will be miniscule is moot as not only will these future Americans pay taxes... they'll be weaned off the welfare dole which exponentially lowers their use of welfare services. Since they'll be subject to time limits... their not going to be able to mooch forever.

The same way any self employed person does with the use of an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) which anyone without a social security number can get.
