Obama said no lobby'ists and now has many on his staff
Obama said solar energy good, and then ruined solar purchases with a 250% tariff on solar panels.

What Filth!
I'm not really partial to either candidate, and while some of those points are definitely valid, others were started by bush and continued by Obama. There's enuf things to be critical about without blaming Obama for some of bush's policies. It actually takes away from a strong argument u would have by making u sound like your reaching and embellishing. U would be better served listing 5 very strong points instead of 5 strong points and 20 weak/overreaching ones. Just my non partisan, fair minded, outsider opinion

Bill Clinton dubbed Obama 'incompetent': Book

New York,
Sun May 13 2012

Former US President Bill Clinton dubbed Barack Obama "incompetent" and pressed wife Hillary to quit her job as secretary of state to challenge the incumbent President in the primaries, a new book has claimed.

"The country needs you!" the former president had told Hillary Clinton, urging her to run this year, according to accounts of the conversation included in Edward Klein's new biography of Obama.

Obama, Bill Clinton had said, according to book excerpts, "doesn't know how to be president" and is "incompetent."

The title of Klein's explosive, unauthorised biography of Obama, "The Amateur", was taken directly from Bill Clinton's bombshell criticism of the president, the author said.

"Barack Obama," Bill Clinton said, "is an amateur."

Tell us something we don't already know Bill!

http://www.indianexpress.com/news/bill-clinto...
Hey, I'm not being a smart ass but this is copy/pasted from the bottom of your article.

---"The book's explosive claims were shot down by spokesmen for the White House and the Clintons, who closed ranks.

Bill Clinton's spokesman Matt McKenna said the excerpts were "totally and completely false" and called Klein "a known liar." Phillipe Reines, a spokesman for the secretary of state, noted that Hillary Clinton challenged the veracity of an earlier book Klein wrote about her, "Truth About Hillary."

White House spokesman Eric Schultz accused Klein of making up facts to sell books.

"Nobody in their right mind would believe the nonsense in this one, especially since both Secretary Clinton and President Clinton have been loyal and supportive of the president (Obama) at every turn," he said."

So although your point is very provocative, it's not quite factual enough to argue. I'm just saying pick one of the many valid shortcomings of Obama. There is no need to distort reality when there are arguments that are factual and documented.

<quoted text>Forget Bain — Obama’s public-equity record is the real scandal
By Marc A. Thiessen, Published: May 24The Washington Post

Despite a growing backlash from his fellow Democrats, President Obama has doubled down on his attacks on Mitt Romney’s tenure at Bain Capital. But the strategy could backfire in ways Obama did not anticipate. After all, if Romney’s record in private equity is fair game, then so is Obama’s record in public equity — and that record is not pretty.

Since taking office, Obama has invested billions of taxpayer dollars in private businesses, including as part of his stimulus spending bill. Many of those investments have turned out to be unmitigated disasters — leaving in their wake bankruptcies, layoffs, criminal investigations and taxpayers on the hook for billions. Consider just a few examples of Obama’s public equity failures:

● Raser Technologies. In 2010, the Obama administration gave Raser a $33 million taxpayer-funded grant to build a power plant in Beaver Creek, Utah. According to the Wall Street Journal, after burning through our tax dollars, the company filed for bankruptcy protection in 2012. The plant now has fewer than 10 employees, and Raser owes $1.5 million in back taxes.

● ECOtality. The Obama administration gave ECOtality $126.2 million in taxpayer money in 2009 for, among other things, the installation of 14,000 electric car chargers in five states. Obama even hosted the company’s president, Don Karner, in the first lady’s box during the 2010 State of the Union address as an example of a stimulus success story. According to ECOtality’s own SEC filings, the company has since incurred more than $45 million in losses and has told the federal government,“We may not achieve or sustain profitability on a quarterly or annual basis in the future.”
Worse, according to CBS News the company is “under investigation for insider trading,” and Karner has been subpoenaed “for any and all documentation surrounding the public announcement of the first Department of Energy grant to the company.”

● Nevada Geothermal Power (NGP). The Obama administration gave NGP a $98.5 million taxpayer loan guarantee in 2010. The New York Times reported last October that the company is in “financial turmoil” and that “[a]fter a series of technical missteps that are draining Nevada Geothermal’s cash reserves, its own auditor concluded in a filing released last week that there was ‘significant doubt about the company’s ability to continue as a going concern.’ ”

● First Solar. The Obama administration provided First Solar with more than $3 billion in loan guarantees for power plants in Arizona and California. According to a Bloomberg Businessweek report last week, the company “fell to a record low in Nasdaq Stock Market trading May 4 after reporting $401 million in restructuring costs tied to firing 30 percent of its workforce.”

● Abound Solar, Inc. The Obama administration gave Abound Solar a $400 million loan guarantee to build photovoltaic panel factories. According to Forbes, in February the company halted production and laid off 180 employees.

● Beacon Power. The Obama administration gave Beacon — a green-energy storage company — a $43 million loan guarantee. According to CBS News, at the time of the loan,“Standard and Poor’s had confidentially given the project a dismal outlook of ‘CCC-plus.’” In the fall of 2011, Beacon received a delisting notice from Nasdaq and filed for bankruptcy.
Ok now this is a valid argument. Well research, well written, concise, to the point, and brief enuf not to put me to sleep. Well done, sir.

I have friends who live in MA. They recall the license for their dog and to register their car going up during Romney. What you leave out is that MA had poor credit when a state that is 80% Democrat elected a moderate Republican. Romney showed he could compromise with a majority legislature. He said if you raise the taxes, I want the revenue from that tax to go to the service it's related to. This is in direct contrast to liberals who tax the lottery, cigarettes, gasoline and just about everything else that moves and then uses the money to to vegas. As soon as he fixed things like the big dig, they got rid of him... the same way ungrateful Brits got rid of Churchill after he got rid of hitler.

People change their minds, especially if they're smart and live a diverse life. it should take time, and the inclusion of new data, not be politically expedient.

Sadly, our election system has devolved into an infantile war of petty sayings and slogans.

That's why they picked a no experience, no resume, no accomplishment, half term junior senator. As long as the media ignored his ties to organized crime, black militants and domestic terrorists, he'd have a shot.

Now they're ignoring the abysmal economy and that the only thing he's done well is continue Bush's war on terror under a new marketing campaign.

First, you are making a presupposition, not all Republicans or Democrats are the same.

As for the difference between the changing of policies:

A flip-flopper is someone who states what the people they are addressing at the time want to hear, such as Mitt saying he supports gay marriage, sees people bang their bibles then change to say he doesn't. You do realize, that he probably still does support gay marriage, right?

An "evolving belief," though I am assuming you mean progressive stance, is one where they learn more information then change their stance based on that information, telling even people that disagree with them that stance without reserve.

Romney isn't near as exciting as Obama. Obama was schooled on expressing his HATRED for America during Wrights "God Damn America" sermons. Obama even took his young CHILDREN to hear Wright degrade, dishonor, and devalue their own Country. Nothing like setting a good example for your children, huh Michelle.

You do realize that the Mormons have an axe to grind with the other christians in the US, right? I was raised one and a key point they like to drill into the followers is that they were attacked and persecuted by the other christians, their founders brutally slaughtered by them as well, when they first began to gain popularity. The US tried to outlaw them, and many had to go into hiding for several years. This is drilled into the members of the LDS church from day one.

This makes your point hypocritical.
