"Josh has not passed one single bill since he's been a legislator. He's introduced four," Boyce said.

If anything, this makes Mandel more respectable. The legislature shouldn't just pass laws to look productive. Of course, a true conservative should be boasting about how many law's he's repealed.

Kevin tell us about your pay to play when you where over the city building department. As the bag man for Coleman getting the payoff from Nationwide for not following Ohio laws, risking lives and using your building department and fellow dems on the OBBS trying to cover it up did you think Ohio would not find out?

What about the fire at Nationwide all of you caused on November 14th 2008 that blacked out the north end of Columbus? Ted and the AG have been helping but now it is in state court so what will you guys do now?

Enjoys Kevin and Ted and Colemanís pay to play with Nationwide fireworks on these videos.

Will the Dispactch pull this agian instead of reporting the news. They know the state has a legal case in court and are not reporting this. Maybe Fox will be the first one as always.

Josh Mandel served two tours of duty in Iraq, as a U.S. Marine. What service did Kevin Boyce serve in?

Since when did military service become a requirement to serve as State Treasurer?

Real leadership would say: Let's get rid of this separately elected office. The treasurer of Ohio should be an appointed post. The last person to actually have banker credentials was Jeannette Bradley and she lost in a partisan primary to a tea-bagger.
Qualifications and not political hackdom should be the credentials needed for a post like Ohio Treasurer. Otherwise, it is just like the candidates in this race a way to get your name out there for higher office.
Ohio is in BIG TROUBLE, as they said in Music Man, and this is one of the reasons why.

Why wasn't Matt Cantrell invited to this meeting? He's on the ballot. He's the most qualified. He has an MBA, the other's don't. Are the other two parties that scared of Libertarians?

Mandel accused Boyce of hiring "cronies and friends and high-school buddies' cronies" instead of qualified financial professionals. > where has mandel been, this is always the way people get hired in politics! And, personally, I don't believe either one of them are qualified to be our State Treasurer!! I have voted almost 100% for Democrat people and policies, but boyce will NEVER get my vote for any office.

To: Tiredofstupidppl: I never stated that military service was a requirement to serve as State Treasurer. However, it shows the character and accomplishments of the individual running for elective office. You are correct; military service is not a requirement for that position; however, neither is race.

Boyce never had a real job. He's been given this one and he's failed Ohioans time and time again. Bye bye K. How much money did you spend on coffee mugs this past year ?

Neither one is, in my humble opinion, qualified to do the job as Treasurer. We need someone with a CPA or MBA designation in this position who is not beholden to any party. Also, anyone who gets elected to this position needs to take a hard look at some of the incompetent people that are employed in that office.

Nice of you to include Libertarian candidate Matt Cantrell in this! And don't tell me that it just wasn't possible logistically. I ran for a city council race, and the paper (not this once) included all 11 (yes ELEVEN) candidates.

@ Goldgirl in GV: Note me comment a few before yours. Matt Cantrell has an MBA! He'll be on your ballot, he just doesn't have the resources to raise big money like the major parties. So voters, what's more important, qualifications or the ability to raise money for a campaign? All of you can decide at the ballot box.

Right, that's all we need is another stinking pretty-boy Republican who runs his mouth a lot but does nothing except give out money to the friends of his bosses. Josh Mandel is nothing but a young male prostitute.

He still looks like a pretty-boy and is a lousy Republican. His 'service' was probably in an air-conditioned headquarters in the Green Zone. I know this type. They're scum.

Not sure where 'race' came from...But okay, doesn't getting elected to office (be it city council or state office) show some type of 'character and accomplishment', as his peers have decided they want his judgment for the public good?

My entire family has served in all branches but the Coast Guard, and they make the point that military service is essential for elected officials. BUT this nation was founded as a civilian republic...we shouldn't require anything from our public officials but good judgment, sound logic, and integrity (tall orders, but still possible in America)....

He will get my vote. Wish there would be more publicity about him!
