I'm sure the Courant would be so understanding if the report issued warnings about the threats of terrorism posed by fundamentalist Muslims, Planned Parenthood and PETA. Give me a break. Is it any wonder this paper is about to go bankrupt?

I do believe some veterans groups have also voiced offense. But, they should be ignored, they are all alcoholic, drug-dependent, gun-toting terrorists.

I would think the 12 million illegals Obama is drooling over are more of a threat than any military person. At least we have records of the military people and don't have a clue about the illegals. But I guess he's figuring he has 12 million more votes. Think he's more interested in himself than he is the country. Totally stupid editorial

The Department of Homeland Security is charged with investigating and assessing ALL threats to the security of the US...why would you exempt ANYONE?

Judging from the posts on Topix, there are definitely some traitorous and treacherous individuals who may or may not be quite willing to join with other extremists (right and/or left wing) and commit an act of treason.

Though this is the US, there have been instances in other countries where citizens with ties to the military have attempted coups and such during times of distress - I don't have to name them, because there are quite a few.

It is a necessary evil to question the circumstances surrounding everyone and maybe report bad news...but that is what they are required to do.

Anyone who attempts to interfere with the messiah should be punished severely. This is an outrage to think that any man would feel ill will towards our savior. This is why we need the fairness doctrine also, there shall be no disent until we are freed from that tyrant George the Invader.
On a lighter note, is janet single. I love the way she explains things and all the beautiful outfits she wears with sheer elegance. I feel very safe with her at the helm.

You are wrong. The remark made by Homeland Security is despicable to say the least. People are stocking up on firearms and ammunition because they are freighten and they do not trust the goverment. Can you blame them? If the proper procedures are in place for veterians returning from war zones to help them with any medical, or emotional problems they will be ok. We owe it to them. They should not be refered to as a potential terrorist.

We should lock them all up in concentration camps then, right? I mean for the good of the fatherland! They have caused all our problems and cannot be trusted to walk around freely...blah, blah, blah.Do this for the people's safety! Starting to sound like Nazi Germany here. Pit one group against the other. If it weren't for veterans, you'd be speaking German now.

Good post.

The increase sale of guns and ammonition has been driven by BHO and the perception that he will weaken the 2nd amendment.

As for Timothy McVeigh, it seems to me that he is being held out as a boogeyman in pursuit of a political end.

Just imagine what the reaction would be if the same logic was applied to Muslims in the U.S.

Nicely put. We have thousands of servicemen returning from war zones suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injury that sometimes goes undisclosed. These personnel have been trained with the latest weapons and urban warfare techniques. To think that right wing extremist groups wouldn’t target them as recruits is ludicrous. Those that want to use this as a slam against are abysmally misinformed. This joint investigation was begun by the FBI in conjunction with military investigative units last December during the Bush Administration.

In her retarded report...she specifically said "right wing extremists" no where does she mention "left wing extremists" ...

This administration is more paranoid of it's own citizens than they are of the REAL extremists...radical Islam.

You probably don't even know what DHS said. If you did know, you would have typed something 180° different.

I agree with your statement about providing 'transitional service' to the servicemen and women coming home... but since you framed it in false lights, there is a loss of credibility.

DHS quoted:
"DHS/I&A [Office of Intelligence and Analysis] assesses that lone wolves and small terrorist cells embracing violent rightwing extremist ideology are the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States"

Those of you watching Hannity and North are eating the Black Pill they're offering you...

QUOTE:
The document on right-wing extremism sent last week by this department’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis is one in an ongoing series of assessments to provide situational awareness to state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies on the phenomenon and trends of violent radicalization in the United States. I was briefed on the general topic, which is one that struck a nerve as someone personally involved in the Timothy McVeigh prosecution.

Get a clue, clues unlock doors, doors allow passages to knowledge.

The violent radicalization of this country of OURS, is not occurring on the left, nor in the Center (where the vast majority of voters, and supporters, of Obama are found)... it's ... it's...

This report was started last December under the Bush Administration. Outside of some radical environmental groups left wing terrorist organizations have largely disapeared. Homeland security does have major concerns about radical Islamic groups but to ignore other threats would be stupid.
