Many blacks shrug off Obama's new view on gays

ARDMORE, Pa. - Like many black Americans, Dorsey Jackson does not believe in gay marriage, but he wasn't disillusioned when Barack Obama became the first president to support it.

Don't blame me, voters take that kind of thing personal.
My neighbor is Polish American whose parents saw first hand what went on in Poland. Needless to say the family is not pleased with Obama's mistake of which he will personally not apologize. Quote: "He made the mistake and it should be him and not a talking head that rectifys."
Personally I think he will lose the Polish American vote this time around. Is there any group remaining that he has not insulted ?

If the Nazi death camp was located in Poland, then it was a Polish death camp was it not?

You are being silly and pedantic.

People know deep down almost instintively that Obama has no legitmate right to lead this country. That is what the birther issue is really all about. The reason he has no legitmate right is because he does not Believe in GOD and has no respect for human life. This is why he is so liberal on stem cell research abuse, aborthin and lynchings (http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=IscQqH6TxOYXX) All this take away from his legitimacy. Racsim helps the racists. But, the more fundamental issue has noting to do with Obama race or half race or whatever you want to call it. The man is hollow inside. So, peple think he is not American. But what he is really not is a man. Obama is not human like most Americans. That is the real issue.
I seem to recall that George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan were exceedingly "hollow", but they were not said to be un-American, alien or non-human. Nor was any of this said against "liberal" whites elected to office. Only a moron can deny the racial motivations behind right wing Obama-phobia.

I don't think it's his color so much as it's his lack of understanding how capitalism works. The racist card is just a old worn out crutch that few take seriously anymore. ho hum

Racism is not a card. And when I see white mitiamen marching in Tea Party demos, and see thinly veiled racial epithets cast at Obama, the reality of racism is abundantly clear to me.
Also, it's far from clear that Barack Obama understands the workings of capitalism any less than GW Bush, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan or anyone else.
But NONE of them were denounced as Marxist-Muslims, alien non-citizens, etc.
As much as they despised Bill Clinton, Republicans didn't DARE suggest that he was not an American, and that he had no legitimate right to the office of presidency even though he won the election.
No one ever said at a Republican rally that they didn't trust Clinton because he was a "Arab." (Nice substitute for the no longer respectable label "ni***r").
I don't recall anyone shouting "liar!" during a presidential address to Congress by Reagan, Bush, or Clinton.
That depth of hatred and DISRESPECT from the right would not be directed at a white person occupying the office.
No white president--liberal or conservative--ever had anyone claim that he was an ALIEN, and had no legitimate right to office.
For whiteness certainly makes you a part of the club, and is itself a badge of legitimacy.
Obama can be consider "foreign" and "other" because he is not white.
The colossal stupidity of GW, who certainly didn't know how capitalism worked (his disastrous record in business being one clue to that lack of understanding), never led to his Americanness being doubted or demands to verify his birth certificate or academic records.
The racism in rightwing animosity toward Obama is obvious to anyuone who is honest, and neither a dolt nor a racist himself.

I can't wait for Obama to say he supports Sharia Law so he can get the votes of the Muslims.

Oh maybe he already does.

he stated his opinion. This is a social issue that probably won't even be talked about, unless asked. So he will still get the votes anyway-- according to title of this thread.

This fellow only sees racism when it is 'thinly veiled' AKA "in racial code' and coming from his political opposition.

He doesn't notice when it is outright and blatant coming from democrats.

Imagine that.

Homosexual marriage, an issue that "probably won't even be talked about...."

LMFAO, yeah, now that the state hosting the Democrat Convention has resoundingly shot down the notion that homosexual marriage will ever be accepted there!

Had north Carolina joined the VERY small percentage of states that allow it, it would be all that we hear about.

Oh well. You will always have South Africa and their rockin Constitution as an alternative to the horribly oppressive USA. lol

No, he knows he would not get a dime from most of his base if he didn't 'come out of the closet' on this issue.

His billion dollar campaign chest dreams are already dead and he just wants to get enough to be competitive...and since he has alienated most of the rich folks at this point, Hollywood homosexuals is all he has left.

We are looking at the biggest landslide since Carter in 80.

Take it to the bank.

Who would have ever thought we would have a President someday that would make Jimmy Carter look good but that day has come. We've been laughing about Carter for 30 years and now we will be laughing at this knuckel head for the next 30 years.

He will be criticized for not getting it done before the web connected information and history with people.
The window to close the web is being transferred to the United Nations, that would be a greater disaster.

That's a denier lie; the Nazi's built the camps and used them to imprison and murder Poles. Talking like WasteWater only perpetuates the lie blaming the victim for the evil.

Calling out the denier is never silly or pedantic; this is a fight for truth.
