that said...
the republican "charges"????
obama reneged on EVERYTHING he previously said...increased the ammount of taxes from $800 billion to $1.6 trillion, added $billions in NEW spending, is making a power grab to control the debt ceiling and offered NO spending cuts...

THOSE aren't charges...THAT'S obama's offer!

We knew Pres Obama knew nothing about the Economy before we elected him. We knew he had neither the skill set of the motivations to improve our situations and leave something worth having for our kids and grand kids. Deal with it.

Pay down your trillions in Bush GOP war debt and quit your whining. It's STILL outstanding. Your phony concern about our kids and grand kids is evident in your refusal to pay it down. Let the Bush tax cuts expire.

I totally agree. I think the Bush tax cuts should expire for everyone. Obama's mission to make losers out of winners is not the way to go. Nothing could be less American.

The losers were the American people when the GOP took our tax dollars to pay Halliburton and Iraqis instead of investing it in our infrastructure, education system, and economy.

I never said Americans weren't morons. The election is over and Obama isn't even staying in DC to address our extinction level deficits. He went to Philly yesterday to spew hate at those who are staying in DC in an attempt to craft some solutions. Try to wrap your mind around that odd choice.

NO ONE would leave town to Spew rather than honor those who trusted HIM to be worthy of Office by working at the JOB he was elected to preform??? It is sheer lunacy.

President Obama laid out his plan. Speaker downgrade needs to just accept it. Sorry to tell you this but American are hoping that President Obama doesn't fold for the GOP Terrorists again like he did in his first term.

I totally agree. American chose a dramatically dysfunctional future, massive unemployment, extinction level Debt and tax slavery and we must surrender to the Will of THE Obama.

The GOP needs to recalibrate their thinking They are STILL giving Americans more credit than we deserve. We Voted to be less than and the Repubs need to get out of Obama's way.

Someone has to be the adult in the room. You can't expect to spend trillions on a war in Iraq to benefit Halliburton and Blackwater and not expect to pay for it. Either pay for it now or pass the debt onto our children. It is up to President Obama to tell the GOP to grow up and stop acting like brats. They need to pay down their debt.

The GOP TEA RINOs will moan and whine but they have to learn they can't spend like a drunken sailor and bail when the check comes.

Encore: United States of ALEC
November 30, 2012 / http://tinyurl.com/cuwj5qy
In an encore broadcast, Moyers & Company presents “United States of ALEC,” a report on the most influential corporate-funded political force most of America has never heard of — ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council. A national consortium of state politicians and powerful corporations, ALEC presents itself as a “nonpartisan public-private partnership”. But behind that mantra lies a vast network of corporate lobbying and political action aimed to increase corporate profits at public expense without public knowledge.
In state houses around the country, hundreds of pieces of boilerplate ALEC legislation are proposed or enacted that would, among other things, dilute collective bargaining rights, make it harder for some Americans to vote, and limit corporate liability for harm caused to consumers — each accomplished without the public ever knowing who’s behind it. One Wisconsin politician describes ALEC as “a corporate dating service for lonely legislators and corporate special interests.”
“United States of ALEC” is a collaboration between Okapi Productions, LLC and the Schumann Media Center, headed by Bill Moyers, which supports independent journalism and public watchdogs including the Center for Media and Democracy, whose investigators are featured in the report.

Moot point dummy. There is still TRILLIONS in Bush GOP war debt that has NOT been paid down. Don't go whining about Democratic entitlement programs when you haven't paid down your own GOP entitlement programs (Iraqis and Halliburton aren't entitled to our taxpayer dollars).

Once you've paid that down....then come whining.

The GOP TEA Party RINOs whine about the debt but they lack the political courage to let the Bush GOP Tax cuts expire to pay down their Bush GOP war debt.

I don't know what one calls starting wars solely in order
to allow corporate friends and donors to steal hundreds
of billions of dollars from the American taxpayer in
a corporate feeding frenzy like Bush's Iraq war, but
since it also involved thousands of deaths and tens of
thousands of terrible mutilations of Americans troops,
the only word to describe it is TREASON.

You prefer out-and-out TREASON to so-called entitlement
programs?

How very Republican of you.

Such filth!
