Lets See how Obama handles this? I think he will now strongly stand with Israel...this time./..its the Jewish Vote Don't Ya Know! Its Amazing ,the Hypocrisy of the US Senate...Each session is opened with a prayer...and the senate Chaplin delivers it Barry Black is the first Seventh-day Adventist and the first African American to hold the post of Senate chaplain. However after this defeat by the Jewish voters, guess what??>Today, they pull out a RABBI to say the prayer..not Only the prayer, but the Senators from RI..go on to Praise the Jews...UNBELIEVABLE!!...of course its too little to late...this now is a effort for the NUMBNUTS in the OVAL OFFICE to KISS and MAKE UP1 It won;t work..Jews are PISSED OFF at Obama...for they know he is no friend of ISRAEL..... THE WHITE HOUSE is so DYSFUNCTIONAL,and INCOMPETENT......Americans are not THAT stupid!!!

We live in interesting times indeed. The fact is that whether or not the UN accepts the Palestinian bid or statehood, Israel will do as she sees fit. Israel will withdraw from or continue to occupy and defend the occupied territories based solely on how Israel judges how best to maintain her security. Nothing Palestinians, the UN or the US does or says will have any influence in Israel over how Israel sees her best interests. The fact is that Israel is fully aware that no matter whether or not the UN recognizes a Palestinian state, Palestinians; their terrorists and supporters of their terrorists will continue to attack Israel. A UN recognition or refusal to recognize a Palestinian state is likely to be utterly irrelevant. After all, the UN specializes in irrelevance.

Even if the Palestinians are granted statehood, Israel will still be more powerful than those rag-heads.

I think LW was saying that generally UN Member states adhere to or choose not to adhere to UN mandates as each sovereign country sees fit. That is certainly true in the case of the US, Russia, China, France,Germany, et al. The UN is not a governing body, and has no power than the one member nations agree to give it. writewingproxycontin wrote: <quoted text> Yet the US and Israel strongly oppose the move. Please explain why the smallest country in the middle east has to be the ones to give the human vermin palestinians a homeland? Jordan drove them out with their military. Why won't Egypt, Syria or Turkey give them a homeland? Maybe the rest of the arab world knows the truth about the palestinians and would rather use them as cannon fodder than actually help them. I love how you libtards who know the least, spew the most!

ITS THE FRIGGING JEWISH VOTE HOME STUPID!! Hey moron, you babbling has nothing to do with your previous post, "How will Obama handle this?" He and Clinton have had their opposition to the UN recognition geared up for months now. There's no question how he'll handle it. It's not pending. It's amply clear. You telling me there is a Jewish vote in the US has no bearing on the fact that the Obama Administration has long ago staked out its position on this matter, but I know you have trouble understanding how one thing follows another in making an argument and drawing a conclusion.

Democrats lost the Congressional seat in NY-9 last week, because Jews are angry with the President. The President cannot win re election, or even come close without the Jewish vote, therefore the U S will vote No for a Palestinian state. Then the Muslims will be p*ssed, and the Jews will still ignore him, and give him the proverbial finger. God is a Republican, and he loves us!!
