So once again the Democrats favored few are trying to alter the Constitution. No more freedom of Religion for you, you simple minded Americans. We must all get on the same sex marriage bandwagon, or else!! Or else they will move the Super bowl. So what. If the Governor vetoes this bill we should all boycott the 2014 Super Bowl. Turn off the TV, no big bowls of Chicken wings, chips, booze, nothing. Isn't it time we sacrificed one day of football to prove a point? Do you have any idea how much money those people will lose if we stand up for the 1st Amendment?

reality is - discrimination is part of being a human being, idiot. it is part of life.

we discriminate because of age, sex, religion, etc. pretty much everything. YOUR inability to realize this shows how stupid you are.

frankly, if the churches don't want to cater to the needs to gays because it is against their religion, I'm all for it.

if the gays don't like it, why don't they go harass some muslim mosque? go push them to cater to their needs and see what happens. lol.

if I don't like smoke in my face, jesus freaks in my face, OR gays in my face, that is MY RIGHT.

if you gays want some church that caters to YOUR needs, START one up instead of trying to force your lifestyle down everybody's throats.

"...the bill is designed only to protect business owners with strong religious beliefs from discrimination lawsuits that have happened in other states. Some blame the media for blowing the law out of proportion."

This is what the clear-headed Americans know. The Left and the Left run media blow.

We have no use for snarling evangelical fundamentalist churches that are afraid of gay people
.
Gays already own and operate 12th largest protestant denomination in the world; all across America and in 42 nations
.
Why in the heck would we want to get hitched in some dumpy storefront fundie snake pit when we can marry in style in one of our own snazzy churches?

No matter what kind of law they come up with; it is trumped by The Civil Rights Act of 1964: Title II - Public Accommodation

Why should we be afraid of some abnormal clown that can't even fit into the natural order of things. You are not religious, a cult for sure but not a church of the bible.

No one seems to be considering how this bill could pit business interests against business interests. What it the best and brightest in your company or your field happen to be gay and lesbian, and you stand in danger of not attracting or losing your best talent because of a hostile business climate created in the area by associated community businesses? In this economically difficult climate can we really afford to allow yet another impediment, especially one as flimsy as this one?

If it is supposedly a bill designed "only to protect business owners with strong religious beliefs from discrimination lawsuits", why does it try to create a "deeply held religious belief" exception to every last rule on the state and local books? Clear-headed Americans are the ones standing up against this incredibly broad and farcically vague special protection for "believers". It's closed-minded, easily misled, useful idiots like yourself driving this bus, the vast majority of businesses in the state want no part of this.

It's actually pathetic that idiots CAN'T see this bill for what it truly is......nothing more than a Hate bill that allows people to use their so called religious beliefs to discriminate against ANYONE they see fit to discriminate against........and NOT just Gays and Lesbians, but Transgender individuals, Muslims, other religions, and so forth......and it even allows for folks to discriminate against Evangelistic Fundamentalist.......that's why some Republicans who have voted for it are now changing their position......because this bill has NO end to it.......and besides, it clearly shows just how much animus folks have towards those who are different than themselves!!!

No one's religious freedoms are being trampled on......they are still free to hate who they want.......just NOT with regards to running a business for the public!!!

There should be a bill protecting heteros from gays too.
Just the opposite! No one has the right to discriminate against anyone for any reason. Because straight men refuse to consider gay men as sexual partners, just like bigot bakers refuse to consider gay weddings as customers, straight men should be forced, by completely Constitutional anti-discrimination law, to consider gay men as sex partners because our government has an interest in stopping all the anti-gay discrimination gay men have to face in this free country of ours!

It should be illegal for a straight man to say no to the sexual advances of a gay man. No gay should have to face the slight, the humiliation, the insult of being told no, go find someone else. This happens a lot more than does gays being told no about a wedding cake, therefore it needs immediate attention: it must be stopped! No one has the right to discriminate against anyone for any reason. We need a law. Straight men who refuse to obey the law should get the death penalty should they say no to the sexual advances of a gay man. We must end discrimination in all of its ugly forms and we must end it now. And this is the worst discrimination of all. How dare straight men say no to gay men and offended them

It wasn't very nice of the bakers not to do it but the gays can boycott that bakery if they want. Don't need another law.

Oh and tell that to the Evangelistic Fundamentalist who feel that their religion somehow should trump laws in this Country.....and they DON'T!!!
