There is nothng new in this bill. We can stll keep the automatic weapons, and we can still buy, and sell guns privatly if we choose to without Background checks. So what did they get that the House won't strip out when they take up the bill? All the hoopla, and they got nothing. Don't look behind the curtain little girl;!!!

Last year the current NCIC Background Check prevented 15,000 people from purchasing firearms. Of those the obama administration prosecuted 44.

This is not a "major hurdle" for gun control. It does nothing to change the ownership of currently held firearms. It does nothing about checking if the sales are private. It really changes nothing, and if Obama thinks his ghetto gunners will run out, and register their guns, he is crazy. It is all a big joke.

I only use small talk, John-boy, because it appears to be the only thing you seem to comprehend. I always read beyond the headlines and I still stand behind background checks for everybody. As I stated before, if you have nothing to hide, what is the problem?

The people who are trying to destroy our bastion of hope is the NRA/gun business who want guns in our schools etc. and feed you gim gnutters so much paranoia and propaganda about tyranny and other boogeymen nonsense.
Perhaps that "bastion of hope" might be to remember the 2nd and 3rd words of the 2nd amendment:“well regulated.”
Perhaps you guys believe "well regulated" is to store as many gunny guns under your bed and who gives a monkey's a** about who has those guns and why.
Guess the thousands killed by thos guns
Richard Henry Lee:“A militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves…and include all men capable of bearing arms.”(Additional letters from the Federal Farmer, at 169, 1788)

Another absolute failure of our system.
What is your point - the ones that live in "fairy tale land" the actors/actress of Hollywood bought and paid for Obama along with the unions, and add in the pharmacy to protect his Obamacare.

Don't bother her right now. She's too busy attacking the constitution. Same old game plan as usual. Create a villian, create a victim and then play the two against each other. Saul Alinsky taught them well.

Most people would not mind that individuals or aisle lizards as there called are not made to conform with current background check criteria. It is the other items that are included and most often snuck in at the end that has us concerned. Remember ObamaCare. The catch phrase was; who could argue against having free or better health care. It is not even implemented and even the democrats are running from what is coming out that was hidden in the pages. Face it, we can not believe what Washington tells us, or what they claim is in a bill.
