I don't see how attending a parade, glbt or other, defames you christianists.
Now if some gay celebrity said the equivalent of the below about you cafeteria christianists then that celebrity probably would get fired from a TV show:
"Women with women, men with men, they committed indecent acts with one another, and they received in themselves the due penalty for their perversions. They’re full of murder, envy, strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant, God-haters. They are heartless, they are faithless, they are senseless, they are ruthless. They invent ways of doing evil."
This is not about defamation genius. This was a man expressing his views as he perceives it from the bible. A book you people hate because it condemns the very lifestyle to shove in everyone's face. No one ever said you had the right not to get your feelings hurt. Grow up.

If it were about the buybull then he'd be saying the same things about other "sinners," such as those mentioned in the headlining _Commandments_ who unrepentantly covet. He isn't.

And this isn't in the buybull. This is a guy with sexual issues:

"Women with women, men with men, they committed indecent acts with one another, and they received in themselves the due penalty for their perversions.  They’re full of murder, envy, strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant, God-haters. They are heartless, they are faithless, they are senseless, they are ruthless. They invent ways of doing evil."

Actually that screed applies far more accurately to the shrinking minority of sexually disordered xstain mullahs.

Did you enjoy his speaking out on African Americans and how they were BETTER off before Jim Crow laws were stricken?

Oh, that's right, the BIBLE says slavery is just FINE, so those pesky blacks better stop complaining and realize they are supposed to be owned by others.

My favorite quote so far...on "Saturday Night Live" last night. They flashed a photo of Phil Robertson and his hideous Taliban beard and Seth Meyers stated, "you CAN judge a book by its cover."

Really? Wonder what would happen if a company fired a queer after he/she attended one of their freak parades? How quick would they reconsider after the queers brought suit for not being able to express themselves? Grow up.
In 29 States they would face no problems because employment discrimination against gays and lesbians is legal in those States.

That is why the Federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) is so important.

But I have to agree with Seth Rogen's tweet: When you interview a 70 year old backwoods redneck don't be surprised when he gives you 70 year old backwoods redneck responses.

I suspect this controversy is also helping the show in the long run. This sort of stuff is the PG version of "leaking a sex tape". So there is a bright side.

At least this isn't a tape!

More and more people of faith are looking at the broader message the NT contains. And many are coming to understand that the condemnations against same sex activity in those passages are about joining into pagan practices, and are not about BEING gay or lesbian at all.

But hey if your religion revolves around spending your day making up naughty and nice lists well there may be a job for you up North.

I agree with one thing you wrote:

The "book" is just a book, most folks use their own judgments and morals and views to be more intelligent thinking and more inclusive than old views "shoved" in their faces from a book like the bible.

They can leave the show but will lose millions inlegal fees/settlements. The network cares about its ratings and content, it's not group therapy for rednecks.

You'll be happy to know I'll be getting together this week with some guys, and we will be getting on our knees...well, half of us, anyway.

They pushed Phil off the show for his opinion and beliefs but, gay people can be free to state their opinions all the time! It's sad that this world has come to what it is today! If Phil were my dad I would have stood with him and his sons should have left the show as well but, money these days are more important than family values and morals. Sad! A&E don't care about that family they only care about ratings and money that it brings them! It is a sin to be gay and if good people who believe in Jesus and live a Christian life have to stand up and let their light shine to the world. One day which is any day now God will end all this and the Christians, real Christians will be in Heaven and the evil will be left behind and I don't wish that on anyone, I pray that as many people as possible get on their knees and pray to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and live a clean moral life just as he did. I will keep praying! Thank you Jesus for coming into my life and giving me peace inside! People don't follow the crowd, open your heart to the truth and that truth is Jesus!

Just remember the constitution and the bill of rights are not excerpts from the bible!

Before with Jim crow blacks married, had only a couple children they could work, and educate, didn't use each other for target practice every week end, and now they are free to breed like animals, get drunk, and all hopped up on drugs, lay around like worthless creatures, oh ya, they are so much better off now.

To those embracing a deviant lifestyle, those "morals" just appear magically and as you imply, don't need any of that book learnin' to develop. Yep, they just pop up magic like. Same with "intelligence", which develops in a vacuum, too. The more you post, the more people become convinced you are stuck forever in teen angst.

Hey rube, go get all lathered up similarly over those who covet or whatever.

Then we'll know you don't merely have a sexual obsession you can't admit to yourself, wrapped in buybull denial.

It's on topic for two reasons:

The Duck unfortunate made a claim that the Jim Crow era was better for black people in the same interview of his most recent anti glbt jihad.

The posters who defend homophobia also, almost invariably, defend such racism.

But since the mullahs are so free speech they wouldn't object to his burning a flag....

(And GLAAD would not like it.)
