Very convenient attack, I must say.

Problem is, I'm not convinced. I'm frankly not even convinced they're dead. It's too similar to the rebel-staged events during the Kosovo war and there's been too much collaboration between Syria's rebels and the former KLA and its allies to not suspect otherwise.

"Prove it", is all I'll say on the matter.

There shouldnt be a problem to proove or disproove it. you got the UN inspectors task force in Syria..let them check the sceen.
if they find nothing then the rebels lie.
if they find evidence or if the syrian army stop them from reaching the sceen, you can safly say there was a chemical attack

One needs to understand how these 'allegations as fact' are exploited by the media. The media are in fact, often complicit in such crimes since if they are indeed false, they give added sustenance and reason for such crimes to occur in order to point the blame to the intended party.

Read how it was done during the Balkan wars, then dare tell me the allegations are all 'propaganda'.

I, for one, make no apologies over the removal of Saddam, or Ghaddafi for that matter. Saddam was a Noriega clone x 1000 and deserved well his fate but those in the media who would hold the WMD ploy to the fire too often have little understanding or will that Clinton's machinations in the Balkans with the media's compliance, set the perfect precedent for Bush's media campaign leading to Iraq's invasion. In MBA programs one learns that if a business model works, the key to growth is to repeat it a thousand times over. The same is true in the political realm.

Beware the slippery slope of deceit, no matter the reason. That's all I can say.

Indeed you are right, the Reich use the same propaganda tactics as the Nazis, the Gestapo burned the Reichstag down and then blamed others, its been going on for decades, one would think by now the people would take a more objective view of events rather than just swallow the corporate media bullshit, those Corporate Media people are complicit in war crimes,if ever the day comes when the likes of Bush and Blair are in the dock for war crimes the head of the BBC and others should be there with them, just today I was listening to the BBC news as I was driving there was no attempt at any sort of balance when reporting the so called chemical attack in Damascus.

People are driven by emotions and the powers that be understand this. The West is quite sophisticated in advertising techniques. Billions of dollars and untold psychologist man/hours are dedicated to refining these techniques, which are use to their full effect in commercial advertising, political campaigning and foreign interventions.

Sad, but true. Democracy is a powerful force but has one unfortunate weak link, its insatiable lust to seek out and exploit the lowest common denominator of persuasion.

I'm betting the rebels did it. It's in their terrorist hand book. Commit the crime and blame your foe.

I take the headline with a few grains of salt but the very fact of this visit suggests that a good dose of scepticism is in order re: FSA adoption of KLA tactics:

Not a d*mn thing will happen. The US has ZERO credit in the Middle East. Didn't Obama say something about a "red line" and the use of WMD's? Bark but no bite!

It's either:

1) The SAA did it.

2) The FSA (or related forces) did it.

3) No one 'did' it and it was staged for the cameras.

What I will bet on is that if it's anything but no. 1, we'll never hear anything more about it.

In the past journalists have been following FSA and the like with ease. Why this time is there no reporters at the scene? The borders are so porous you'd have thought someone, anyone, from anywhere would be covering this.

So, you're a McCain groupie. You'd rather have gone in there, empowered al Qaeda and then pulled out.

Brilliant. Stick to your flak suit knitting. You'll need it.

PS: You really don't think more than a day ahead of last month's news, do you? LOL

Personally, I believe this was more than likely an act of Al-Nusra while waving the flag of Assad's forces.

The exact same thing happened a couple of months ago. Then we had loud mouth McLame saying we needed to invade. When it was Al-Nusra using Sarin gas and everyone was blaming it on Assad.

Same tactic here.

I can see what the West is trying to do here and it is not going to work.

In the middle east, the end game has always been Iran and the largest oil choke point in the world. But the West cannot just invade Iran without a pretext. WMD's pretext has failed since it came out Iraq did not have any. Also, the CIA and Mossad have come out publicly and stated that Iran is no where near having the ability to make a nuke.

So how you get into the end game with Iran?

Through Syria who holds a mutual defense agreement with Iran.

Use Al-Nusra aka Al CIA-Duh to launch chemical attacks, blame it on Assad, and then use that as a justification to enter Syria. With a defensive agreement with Iran, Iran will then be forced to enter Syria. And there will be the excuse for the West to enter Iran and try to attempt to control the oil choke point.

Question is though, what will Russia and China do?
