Sorry your blue State tax dollars go to pay for pension to people living in Red States.
Sorry you Dollars go to military bases in Red State
Sorry your Dollars go to maintain Federal land in red states.
By the Way Alaska has said if the Federal government would turn over all Federal land, excluding military bases, office building and national parks, they would forgo all federal dollars.
1rst link - states since the beginning of the Iraq war, more members of the military come from non impoverished states.

So what? Besides, using Heritage as an informational tool shows exactly where your head is up - no further explanation neccessary.

2nd link - shows only 4 states located in southern states with large military bases.

Again, so what? If those states didn't have military bases there, they would be more broke than they are currently.

3rd link - what relevance does this actually have? Does any of your links in any way dispute the fact that red states are dependent upon the graciousness of blue states supporting them? No they don't.

Try harder son - a whole lot harder!

The electoral vote was 332-206.

I'm not the one who is changing the rules and pretending the vote for POTUS is determined by popular vote.

You do remember George Bush declaring he had a MANDATE from his 'landslide' election in 2004?

"I earned capital in this campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it," Bush told reporters. "It is my style."

So- when comparing apples to apples (popular vote to popular vote)- the margin is almost exactly the same... and when comparing electoral votes (what really counts)- Obama's victory is more dramatic.

And these are just the facts...

Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee's call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $70 billion global conventional arms trade.
U.N. delegates and gun control activists have complained that talks collapsed in July largely because Obama feared attacks from Republican rival Mitt Romney if his administration was seen as supporting the pact, a charge Washington (here's a surprise) denies.
Gun control only effects liberals. I mean look at how well our drug laws work at keeping drugs out of peoples hand. Does anyone think Gun control will work better since you can keep a gun and ammo in the closet for years while a hype has to get a new hit daily?
Here a nice book for you gun control types to read and yes I own this book, along with the poor mans James Bond and the

Yes, i remember Bush being a fool about that. Seems like what you are doing now.

yes, the electoral win was large, but to say he has huge support from the Us elcetorate would be absolutely false, so to say he has a lot of political capital, or some huge mandate from the public from this win would be really stretching it.

Hates Ignorance wrote:
An excerpt from the Treaty of Tripoli. Ratified unanimously by the senate & signed into law by president John Adams in 1797. Note the first sentence.
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen [Muslims],—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan [Muslim] nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."
The treaty is cited as historical evidence by popular commentators and news magazines in the modern day controversy over whether there was religious intent by the founders of the United States government. Article 11 of the treaty has been interpreted as an official denial of an exclusively Christian basis for the U.S. government. Professor of History John Fea, however, has recently noted in his book addressing the Christian element to the American founding that, "If the Treaty of Tripoli is correct...then someone forgot to tell the American people." Many other historians, secular and religious, have further insisted on the relative unimportance of the document or argued against the position that it rules out the influences of religion on the Founders, the constitution, or American culture, at the time of the founding. The clause is hotly debated in popular culture, but professional historians do not cite it as evidence of a secular nation. For example, although he never mentions the treaty in his book, professor of history Jon Butler claims that "The United States wasn't founded as a Christian country." He qualified that remark, however, in also noting that "no other Western society ever wrote so bold, so novel, and so successful a prescription for religion's role in a nation's destiny.

Historian Anson Phelps Stokes' three volume account of Church and State in the United States argued that the Treaty of Tripoli is the "only statement of any importance which we have found in the official documents of the United States which seems to deny specifically that the government was founded on the Christian religion." He also noted that "those who wished to deny that the United States as a government has any special regard for the Christian religion...[have ] almost invariably failed to call attention to the fact that the treaty was superseded, less than a decade later, by another 'Treaty of Peace and Amity,' signed in Tripoli June 4, 1805, in which the clause in question...is omitted.

La Santa,

Have you actually READ the "Small Arms Treaty", or just what drudge, Brietbart, and the NRA feed you?

There is NO provision in the treaty that limits in any way private ownership, sales, or purchases of ANY firearm with the sovereign borders of ANY nation, including the US. It deals with INTERNATIONAL TRADE of firearms. Nothing else.

If that is their strategy, then I expect to see even more "WTF happened" expressions come the 2014 elections.

If the Republicans haven't learned by now that obstruction is what got them their asses handed to them, they will after the 2014 elections.
