Perhaps, but no less than liberalism.
Not all Republicans are conservative. For instance, there were plenty of Republicans who served under Bush who were really not conservative. Heck, I never considered GW a real conservative either.
True, Real Conservatism & Liberalism you have to go back to the 1920's to understand their true meanings what it meant to be a Conservative and a Liberal which is why I consider both todays Liberals & Conservatives as progressive.

Wendell Willkie the Republican nominee for President in 1940 even confirms FDR distorted the meaning of being a Liberal and what it meant to be a true Liberal and where it really all started.

No, we don't abandon our own, merely pointing out that our representatives who we do support are not actual conservatives. I never abandoned Bush; I voted for him twice. But since he ran on his first election, I have always said he was not a true conservative.

So when we are left with a half-conservative vs a liberal, we take the best of two evils. If we can't have a conservative President, then all we can do is get the most conservative President or representative that we can get.

Yeah.. nobody is a republican anymore. As soon as you had proof as to the corrupt nature of conservatism and republicanism, you bailed. bush is a non-person now.

By they way. The best of two evils is the most evil of two evils. So you still choose the most evil.

I see I am dealing with another public educated person with low comprehension skills. Let's try this again: Nobody bailed on Bush or the Republicans. Sure, we conservatives would like to see more conservative representatives, but that doesn't mean we abandoned the Republican party.

Now, if you can't follow that, then respond with your e-mail address and perhaps I will send pictures to help get the point across to you.

Hey, personal messages are enabled. I'm not hiding behind being anonymous like you are so if you have pictures to send, then send them. Better yet, send them to insurgent_american@cox.net.

As far as my education goes, there is nothing wrong with it. I was educated back when all Americans valued education and paid for schools to do that educating. That excellent California educational system before it was gutted by RWNJ stupidity.

Republicans are few and far between. Independents and teabaggers took the place of most republicans who were ashamed to be called republicans after the reaming of bu... oh I mean dick cheney and the neocons.

As a Liberal, I constantly have to distance myself from the likes of Karl Marx, Lenin, Rasputin the Mad Monk. As a conservative you have to distance yourself from your last President.

It's really going to get much worse between now and Nov. 6th. The dems have pulled out all the stops on debasing themselves and their water carrying media to defeat Romney.

Everyone keeps asking why Obama, at the debate, didn't bring up the hidden camera remark Romeny made that he would never get the 47% hard core Obama supporters to vote for him.

To me it's so obvious.

The tape of Obama speaking before an all African American audience in 2007 had just broke a few days before. In it, he basically said he did not care about the other 86% of the country. Only the blacks.

And while he stood there before them, stirring hatred ,in his southern draw and new negro cadence saying, "Where are y'all's Stafford Dollars?" HE had already voted AGAINST Stafford relief for Katerina.

And they did get it and more. More than any other natural disaster in US history.

So, no, I don't think he'll bring up the 47% in a debate ever.

Nothing wrong with public education. Like everything else you get out what you put in.

But where the heck did Citizen X come from?

And I still don't understand the stupid judging system on Topix. From what I can see, you can judge yourself.

There is a lot wrong with the public education system. The US spends more per capita on students than any other industrialized nation on the planet, yet we have mediocre results to show for it. We have thousands of jobs that cannot be filled by Americans simply because they are not educated enough.

Our schools have become babysitting services for families where both parents work. In many places, they are also welfare providers that offer free breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is on top of the 47% of people who are on food stamps, yet can't figure out a way to use that food to make lunches for their children.

Oh I agree with that part of it. I guess I was lucky. Grew up in a farming community in a wealthy state where everyone went to public shool and the classes were rarely over 40 students.
Had no trouble adjusting to college, 500 miles away, in exile. Hated classes there too.

No, the public schools, particularly in the more populated areas, are nothing like that today.

there is problems for sure with the Public Education System and there is no standard for educations and is different from state to state which is one problem besides each states educational standards & requirement are different totally.
