Can't say this is surprising. I actually thought that was what he was eventually going to say in his speech Saturday evening, but he never got around to it. I must say it was one of his better speeches and he seemed to have more life in him than during most of the campaign. If he throws his support to McCain, who would it affect most?

I had been feeling like he was going to quit soon, so I have been brainstorming for the past week or so trying to decide who I would vote for If Fred dropped out. And I have come to the conclustion that although he is not a Social Conservative, he is a Fiscal and Defense Conservative, I'm going with RUDY GULLIANI.

Which candidate do any of you other former Fred Thompson supporters choose now?

I hadn't planned on voting for him anyway. Since it's down to clinton or obama winning for the democratic party and probably Gulliani for the Repubs I suppose when the time comes I'll do what I usually do and vote for the one least likely to kill us all.

My guess is that Huckabee will benefit the most from Thompson dropping out. But we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Fred, appears to be a casualty of the Independents voting in Republican primaries.

Too bad... I liked Fred a lot.

Now, I'm going to choose either Gulliani or Romney, but haven't made a final decision.

BTW, the only way I'd vote for McCain is if he became the Republican nominee. I won't be voting for him in my (his) home state.

Killing all processes..........
Fred is dead

Too bad, I hope he doesn't back McCain, that'd be like voting for Ron "Moon Bat" Paul

Well, originally I was for Fred Thompson (seemed like the right one), BUT a few months after Fred started his run .. I started watching and reading about ANOTHER candidate that I like alot better.

*Work Toward Energy INDEPENDENCE

I was for Fred but I like Rudy now.

My Twelve Commitments are a promise to this generation and generations to come that we will keep the American dream alive. I believe its the kind of leadership and common sense accountability the American people deserve from Washington. Mayor Giuliani

http://www.joinrudy2008.com/issues/

[F]ormer New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani comes closer to the Republican ideal than any of the other viable Republican candidates. They are all good and decent men who would be better for America than either of the Democratic front-runners. But it is difficult to see, from a conservative- and Republican-values perspective, what major shortcoming Giuliani brings as compared to the other candidates. And given the obsession of liberal news media with publishing negative reports about Giuliani and frequent praise of John McCain, it would appear that it is Giuliani whom Democrats most fear as the Republican presidential nominee.

When I started reading your post I thought you were talking about Ron Paul.

Can you tell me what would Huckabee's foreign policy in the Middle East be like?

Yes, DO your family a favor and vote for Huckabee...unless of course your family is atheist. Or Jewish. Or muslim. Or sikh or if someone in your family is gay or say an independent woman. If your family has one of those, vote Democrat. They accept all races, creeds and sexual preference.

Vote Ron Paul! Hope for America.

Pauls knows economics and will be fot the Constitution and the Bill of right and the limited government that we are suppose to have.

He is right on the Federal Reserve and the gold standard over unbacked print as you need it paper money.
