I wanna get outta here
I wanna get outta here
I-I've gotta I've gotta get outta here
I-I gotta get out of here
I gotta get out of here
I gotta get outta here
I gotta get outta here
I grabbed my hat and I got my coat
And I-I ran into the street
I saw a man that was choking there
I guess he couldn't breathe

God bless your daughter.
As for women in combat, I feel that only a very small number would qualify, even if faced with less rigid requirements.
As for selective service, IMO we either require it for all or no one.

What seems to either escape you, or you're too obtuse to admit, is that in those days, the republican party was what today is the Democratic Party. Unless, of course, you think Lincoln was a member of the Democratic Party.

Cartel Kingpin Chicago's New Public Enemy No. 1
The label was first given to Al Capone and hasn't been used since Prohibition
By Michael Tarm
| Thursday, Feb 14, 2013 | Updated 9:40 AM CST
Authorities in Chicago are naming a drug kingpin in Mexico as the city's Public Enemy No. 1 a label first given to gangster Al Capone and one that hasn't been used since Prohibition.
Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is being singled out for his role as leader of the powerful Sinaloa cartel, which supplies the bulk of narcotics sold in the city, according to the Chicago Crime Commission and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
"Not since the Chicago Crime Commission's first Public Enemy No. 1 has any criminal deserved this title more than Joaquin Guzman," J.R. Davis, president of 94-year-old Chicago Crime Commission, said in remarks prepared for an announcement later Thursday.
It was the Chicago Crime Commission that designated Capone Public Enemy No. 1 in 1930. The non-government body that tracks city crime trends called other people public enemies, but Capone was the only one to ever be its No. 1.

Your insistence on remaining dense and ignorant is a characteristic typical of a die-hard Republican. You represent your party well.
You failed to account for inflation for the years 2002 - 2012. At about 3% per year, that means that in today's dollars Bush's $2 trillion budget would be about $3.09 trillion (compared to Obama's $3.5 trillion). That represents a difference of nearly $4.1 billion. The upshot of this means that in real dollars, the budget has not increased all that much over 10 years.
Second, you failed to mention that the single biggest source of the budget is the national defense (the military), running, on average over the ten years, at 42%.

Is It Fair For People On Food Stamps To Buy Prime Rib And Lobster While Working Families Barely Survive?
Feb 14, 2013
Should we all quit working and jump on board the Obama gravy train? Of course I am being facetious, but when you are barely surviving does there come a point when it just becomes easier to give up and totally rely on the government? Today, the federal government runs nearly 80 different means-tested welfare programs, and many state and local governments have their own welfare programs on top of that. If you become an expert on those programs and you learn how to game the system, can you live more comfortably than someone that lives honestly and works as hard as they can and yet still makes less than 10 dollars an hour? Now, right from the outset of this article, let me make it abundantly clear that I do not believe that most people are abusing the system. As I have written about over and over, the number of Americans living in poverty is rapidly increasing because there are not enough jobs. There are not enough jobs because we are shipping millions of them out of the country to the other side of the globe, and we are also losing millions of jobs to technology. There have always been those that need our help, and because of the foolish decisions that we have made as a nation, the ranks of the poor will continue to expand. But it is also true that there are some people out there that are very brazenly abusing the system. For example, is it really fair for people on food stamps to buy prime rib and lobster while many working families barely survive? People like that are taking advantage of their fellow Americans, and they are making it harder for the people that really need the help to be able to get it.

as I understood RP, as with the election and office of the Pres, Senator or Rep, he was talking about FEDERAL policies and programs.
and, the Federal Constitution and ITS limitations.
speak about doing away with ANY Fed Govt law, policy or prog and the Progressives go batshit crazy about hating the poor, minorities, gays, illegals/immigrants, etc...
that speak as if their is NOTHING else BUT the FG!
as if the States and Local govts and the people that run them do NOT exist or, somehow, do not have the same capacity to 'govern' as those elected to National offices.
some States had Jim Crow laws... but, NOT all States. that fact seems to elude the brainiacs that worship at the feet of Wilsonian Progressivism.
some States have no NEED for an Income Tax... like the FG before the 20th century. THAT fact also seems to elude them.
or the Rep Party IS the Party that freed the slaves AND restored the Union... those two Historical facts need not apply.
if posters on here today OPPOSE Big, BIGGER FG, they must have supported it when a different Pres of a different Party or COLOR was in charge.
what IF they did? yesterday? can't people CHANGE? their political or ideological minds? don't they believe in EVOLUTION?
they certainly talk like they do when it comes to societal change, don't they? maybe they think ONLY themselves, the ELITE, are capable of future enlightenment?
it's like one cannot speak of the VALUE of marriage, traditional marriage, AND not be either a racist or a homophobe.
the value of WORK versus welfare AND not be a racist or hater of the less fortunate or a sexist.
defend the Constitution, the CURRENT version, and NOT want to re-introduce slavery or male dominance.
hell, one can no longer defend being American without being labeled SOMETHING derogatory!
'America: Love It or Leave It.' we overlooked 'Transform It', didn't we?
look at WHAT we have become...

There are way too many Anti-Americans and Anti-Patriots on this thread. Gone from discussion is the threat of the Illegal mex and/or Illegal alien. I see a handful of Pro-Americans like myself making positive comments about ridding ourselves of this foreign invader. Let's be thinking about evils these invaders have done, are doing, and will do for at least a couple of years to come. Then we'll put the hammer to them, soon. It seems the discussion has deviated to personality attacks and obsessive deviant attitudes toward loyal Americans that frequent here.

So youre implying that the Muslims invisible super powerful friend provoked his followers to kill a Christian and thereby deliver a single instance of where their invisible super powerful friend defeated the Christian invisible super power friend?
If youre not happy with this analysis, then you reject the idea of the existence of invisible super powerful friends.
If you accept the analysis, then you belong with your like-minded comrades, in a mental institution.
Or maybe you mentioned Tanzania because you not-so-secretly believe that black Africans are just a bunch of savages (implying that white folk are just better, cleaner, and purer)?

that opinion has NO basis in political Historical FACTS.
what happened is that the Progressives INFILTRATED the Democratic Party FIRST. the Progressives learned a LOT watching the National Socialists, etc during the 30's. the Nat'l Soc's adopted MUCH of the Progressive ideas and implemented them... maybe TOO rapidly, too overtly.
whilst the Rep Party pretty much RESISTED such UN-American ideologies (Marxism, socialism AND Progressivism). see Teddy Roosevelt and HIS brand of Republican Progressivism.
remember, it WAS the 50's Rep Party that FIRST tried to pass comprehensive Civil Rights laws and were stymied (STOPPED) by the Dems (see Eisenhower's Admins).
it WAS Ike that warned US of the Military/Industrial Complex.
it WAS LBJ that escalated VN... that STILL had to twist many a Dixie-crats' arms to get his Great Society passed into law.(Dixie-crats were those old Democrats that still clung to the Jim Crow-era of the Southern Democratic Party. they have been replaced with Progressive Dems or lib/moderate Reps today.)
it WAS a Rep, Nixon, that ENDED our decades-old involvement in SE Asia, wasn't it? and, opened Communist China.
our current pol problems are NOT right/left or even Rep/Dem. it is a WAR of ideologies: Americanism versus Progressivism.
for decades, Progressives have moved UNDERGROUND and taken over our colleges, influenced out K-12 public schools thru teacher training, unions and TEXTBOOKS. no NAZI screw-ups for THESE Progressives. NO overt Revolutions like Castro, Che, Mao, Stalin or Lenin.
NO, much more insidious methods. make THEIR ideology the ideology of the MASSES. but, what MASSES? here, in post WWII American, there were NO serfs or peasants or disenfranchised classes. like in Cuba, China or Russia.
not UNTIL after the mid-sixties, that is. NOW we have some 25 million down-trodden MASSES, don't we? a PERMANENT UNDER class... ripe for the exploiting. and all of those too easily persuaded, guilt-ridden, politically correct sheeple, too.
YET, those 'duped' ones never seem to realize what happened to the OTHER liberated MASSES, do they? the Viet Namese and Cuban boat people just don't register, do they? the 1000s shot in the back trying to FLEE the Soviet nations. the political prisoners and protesters in China. the millions of illegals 'yearning' for something better across the Rio Bravo.
WHERE will those future people's go?

Former Obama spokesman:Move on from Menendez scandal
11:10 AM 02/14/2013
A former campaign spokesman for President Barack Obama said Thursday that there has been too much news coverage of several scandals surrounding New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez.
Theres a point at which youve milked a story so much you look like withered boob. Move on, Hari Sevugan tweeted Thursday morning, reacting to news that Menendez is still welcome at White House negotiations regarding immigration reform.

The numbers you posted were at best, misleading. At worse, inaccurate.
The well acknowledged rule is one cannot compare monetary figures from different time periods without accounting for inflation. This you failed to do. It is not a matter of interpretation. It is a matter of accuracy. And for you, the poster, a matter of personal integrity.
In more pedestrian terms, you attempted to support your position by pulling the wool over the eyes of the reader. I revealed your dishonesty.

Napolitano: No need to bind amnesty to border security
By Stephen Dinan
The Washington Times
Wednesday, February 13, 2013
Homeland Security Secretary Janet A. Napolitano told lawmakers Wednesday that the southwest border is more secure than ever and warned against holding legalization hostage to more border security prompting a key Republican to warn the Obama administration that it is endangering chances for a bill this year.
Ms. Napolitano, testifying to the SenateJudiciary Committee, said the Border Patrol has been beefed up, hundreds of miles of fencing have been built, and her department is deporting a record number of illegal immigrants.

higgians, despite you being an ignorant old fool, I suppose every dog has it's day. You have hit the nail on the head (albeit inadvertently).
" defend the Constitution, the CURRENT version.." This is precisely the issue, and you are smack dap in the middle of it. So deep in it that you can't recognize the forest for the trees.
Whether you accept it or not, there are two major schools of what just what the Constitution says. The strict constructionalist (supported by conservatives and Republicans) and the progressives (supported by liberals and Democrats).
Again, whether you accept it or not, despite what appears to be clear and straight forward language, the actual meaning of the Constitution is not clear (so say the progressives). To prove that it is not clear, legal scholars, jurists, etc.,--both strict constructionalists and progressives--routinely rely on other documents produced by the Founders to help clarify the meaning of the Constitution the Bill of Rights.
If the meaning of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are clear as day, relying on secondary documentation would not be necessary. Legal arguments would be greatly reduced, and we would all in fact know exactly what the law is at any particular time. It would be an either/or legal world.
That is not the case. Ergo, we do not know exactly what the Constitution and the Bill of Rights mean and more importantly, their implications are always questionable.
