Remember THIS:
Obama to Congress:
I’ll decide what’s constitutional
Congress placed a provision in the $1 trillion omnibus spending bill for 2012 designed to bar the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from using any of its $30.7 billion taxpayer funds to “advocate or promote gun control.” However, upon signing the bill into law, President Obama issued a caveat of his own:
I have advised Congress that I will not construe these provisions as preventing me from fulfilling my constitutional responsibility to recommend to the Congress’s consideration such measures as I shall judge necessary and expedient.
In other words:“Congress may pass laws, but I decide which of its laws are constitutional and which I can simply choose to ignore.”
Of course, the Constitution doesn't actually give the president this power, but Obama won’t allow a little thing like the U.S. Constitution get in his way.

The fact that there are still Americans that still like this fool blows my mind. If you are a gun owner or someone that actually works for a living, vote this tool out of office.

Everyone who cares about the constitution, or country, needs to realize that we need unity and commitment to run Obama's ass out or we'll have the asshole for a true dictator for the rest of our lives. White people on the right will be an endangered species if that happens.
He is your President. Plain and simple.

~ Obi-Wan Kenobi on White House

“Since the White House has been overrun by black people, shouldn't it be called the Black House?”
~ Captain Sarcasm on White House

For the religious among us who choose to believe lies, the self-proclaimed experts at Wikipedia have an article about White House.

The original White House in Wasilla, Alaska.

Located in Washington, D.C., the Black House, formerly known as the "White House" up until Barack Obama's recent ascension to power, is ostensibly the residence of the President of the United States, the Führer, the Commander in Chief and Head Executive of the United States Government. He also controls OPEC and decides how to rip off the American people.

Because the office and staff of the President are located in the White House, it is common to refer to the activities of that staff as being done "by the White House." For instance, a reporter might state that "the White House responded to questions by saying...." This should not be read as saying that the building itself made the statement. Rather, when the White House itself speaks it is usually with the voice of deceased President Ulysses S. Grant, whose spirit haunts the White House...

Throughout history there have actually been several White Houses, the first built after the end of the Revolutionary War. America had very little money at this point, since the States refused to give the Federal Government any money unless it first did the chicken dance and said "pretty please with a cherry on top." Unwilling to sacrifice its dignity like that, the Federal Government had to rely on foreign lenders and mob bosses to finance the building of the Presidential residence. Since most lenders were unwilling to make any long term investments in America "until we see how this whole independence thing works out," there was very little money for construction.
It is also a fact that the UN provided some of the funds for the construction of the White House. Many people believe that the funds were legally laundered from small shops that Condoleza Rice liked to visit, but in fact the money came from aliens which hired the UN to take out key enemies like Albert Einstein and Issac "Hit on the head by an apple" Newton. This is why gravity is non existent and people actually buy clothes from The GAP, AK-47s from Wal-Marts,terrorists from 7-11, and condoms from Borders.

As a result the first White House was a small one and was covered primarily by an old tarp that John Adams had found in his mother's basement. The structure endured until the War of 1812, during which a British soldier stole one of the tent poles and wouldn't give it back. When the President refused to lend the subsequent mess of blankets to Canadian forces, Canada responded by setting the pile on fire, as they were not nearly as docile as they are now, and could be said to have been quite rude.

Well, Green House at first, actually. After having won the war of 1812 with their bare hands, the American Justice Coalition stepped forward and proposed a new floating headquarters for themselves, which would also solve the problem of an American capitol site. Using his alien ring, James Madison created the "Green House", which served both as the Coalition's headquarters and as the new capitol building. Later Madison paid for the building to be re-painted white to prevent it from clashing with anyone's colorful uniforms.

The people who are not doing what they get paid to do are the Republicans. And Kentuckians are at fault to continuing to elect a jerk like Mitch McConnell. He stands up on TV and tell America my only purpose is to shut down government because I don't like a black guy being my boss.

Conservative America, this point in history shall too pass, but today marks the beginning of a newer more firm change in America. With the hand of the Creator which guided the nation’s fore fathers, America will begin again. An election will not unravel the will of America’s founding values. Nor can a narcissist leader and administration cause those of faith to bend to his delusional edicts.

I can't explain why he disrespects the American flag, because I have never seen him do so. As for a show of respect to a foreign monarch, how is this a problem for you? Should he instead have mooned him?
Now, your turn to answer mine.

Senate aides confirm that Republican senator Mitch McConnell has been reelected minority leader in the Senate. Conservative stalwarts Pat Toomey and Marco Rubio spoke in favor of McConnell's nomination at the closed door session.

"Mitch unifies all of us, regardless of philosophy or what part of the country we come from," Rubio said of McConnell, according to a spokesman for the Florida senator. "He’s the smartest political mind around and a great listener. Above all else, what Mitch cares about is whether we succeed as a conference and as a country, and that’s why I’m proud to nominate him for another term as Leader."

I've yet to see Cricket post anything without putting a hard right spin on it and his interpretation of "the facts" is questionable at best.

I had NEVER before this MESS cared about what PARTY I voted for!
I voted for the "integrity" of the PERSON running!
I can SEE NOW that the Republican/Conservative Party IS more my STYLE or possibly the Libertarian Party ...
It MOST DEFINITELY is NOT the "democrat" party!
NEVER ... will I vote for one of them AGAIN!
A Republican was running for Governor in my state this year!
Was VERY much AGAINST him!
He lost TOO!
Thank the good Lord above <3
The democrats of today ARE NOT the Democrats of my Daddy's lifetime! THEY had "integrity" ....
NO more! They are like marxists/communists.....
I want NO part of it...
Come to terms that this Nation was based on Christianity
and I'll meet you half-way ...
Other than that ...
No.
Like you I have always voted the man not the Party. I don't intend to change that now. I agree with you also that many of the laws have been based on Christianity. Which I'm a Christian myself. But it shouldn't be according to our Constitution. I firmly believe in our Constitution. We are to have separation of Church and State. To me that means that Government doesn't meddle in religions and religions don't meddle in Government. There are very good reasons for that rule. After all none of us want the Sharia laws to become something we turn into our law, now do we. That is what will happen if we continue to allow religion to dictate what our laws should be.
Voting for the best candidate is far better then voting party. Myself I'll be very happy to vote Republican again as soon as they deserve it by throwing out the extremists in their midst. Stop fighting only for their party and start working for those they represent. Which is ALL of us. In fact it's about time we demand that from all of our Representatives no matter what their party is.
Oh and one other thing if I were to ever leave the Republican party it would be to go to the Libertarian Party. You see we do have some things in common.

Does the 1796-97 Treaty with Tripoli Matter to Church/State Separation?
...
The pirates of the Barbary coast in general and of Tripoli (in what is now called Libya) in particular were destroying U.S. shipping and holding as prisoners U.S. seamen in the 1790s. It was a serious problem and a series of negotiators were sent to try to put together an agreement to improve it.

Fortunately for me, my son (and only child), Michael, lived for several years in Washington, DC, only two blocks from the Library of Congress, and my wife and I visited him frequently. When we did, I spent time at the L of C, much of it reading up on the treaty. I found some answers in the official Journal of the Senate. The President (by then John Adams) sent the treaty to the Senate in late May 1797. It was, according to the official record, read aloud (the whole treaty was only a page or two long), including the famous words, on the floor of the senate and copies were printed for every Senator.(It should be noted that the controversy about the Arabic version is irrelevant here: all official treaty collections from 1797 on contain the English version, and all include the famous words of Article XI.) A committee considered the treaty and recommended ratification. Twenty-three Senators voted to ratify: Bingham, Bloodworth, Blount, Bradford, Brown, Cocke, Foster, Goodhue, Hillhouse, Howard, Langdon, Latimer, Laurance, Livermore, Martin, Paine (no, not Thomas Paine), Read, Rutherfurd, Sedgwick, Stockton, Tattnall, Tichenor, and Tracy. We should ask ourselves whether we should not consider these 23 (and President Adams) great freethought heroes. In a very public way, they voted to say that "As the government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian Religion,..." the Muslims of Tripoli therefore need not fear a religious war from the U.S. The vote was recorded only because at least a fifth of the Senators present voted to require a recorded vote. This was the 339th time (I went through the Journal for the first five Congressional sessions and counted them myself) that a recorded vote was required. It was only the third time that a vote was recorded when the vote was unanimous!(The next time was to honor George Washington.)There is no record of any debate or dissension on the treaty.
