Labor's plan to fight back

Dec 12, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Politico

Labor unions, stung by an unexpected setback in Michigan, where Republican Gov. Rick Snyder signed a right-to-work law Tuesday limiting their ability to collect dues, are eyeing a large-scale counteroffensive against the conservative state leaders who have slashed away at union power since the 2010 midterm elections.

It's not about choosing sides. It's about folks wanting to make their own way in the job market without being FORCED to join/participate in a particular organization.

Again... answer the question: If unions are so wonderful why must they compell membership as was done in Michigan until yesterday?

The PEOPLE of Michigan need to speak out, they need to recall this worthless GOP governor and enough of his cronies in the legislature to repeal this odious bill.

Attacks on unions are motivated SOLELY by one thing: partisan politics. It's not about "rights" or "work" but about restricting union collection of campaign funds, union support for Dems, and union canvassing of voters. It's about getting more Republicans elected, nothing else.

Voter ID laws? Same deal. Tort "reform?" Same deal.

Republicans are cynical manipulators trying to make this a one-party nation with themselves running the show. They KNOW this is the only way they can fight back against the demographic battle they're LOSING.

Yea, the average American refuses to drive his 4 wheel drive vehicle on public, socialist roads. The average American won't buy food at a grocery store that has been inspected. The average American won't let the post office deliver his mail. The average American won't even use the government supported internet. I guess we won't be seeing any more of those averages any more.
If your average American is a Republican, he demonizes
government and all those who work in it as socialism and
socialists and then goes out and grabs every government
freebee and handout he can get his hands on.

Hypocrisy? On a major scale.

Such filth!

Labor unions need to stick Twinkies up their asses. The stupids would probably like it anyway. Obama can get a whole loaf of Wonderbread up his. It helps to feed that giant wart on his nose.

And of course it never occurred to you that some folks (1) don't want to be in a union at all and (2) don't want that union stealing money from their paycheck to support these efforts.

No. You can't abide a free-thinker who just wants to work and support his family.

If they take the money out of the hands of the 995, they can't fight, they can't contribute, they can't vote in the party/person of the people. That is the goal, I'm sure. Because otherwise the unions are weakened, and collective bargaining has no leverage. Collective bargaining has resulted in increased wages for union members.

People are tired of the unions bankrupting business and the states, and they are sick of being made to contribute money that is all given to the top 1% of union thugs and the democrat party.
