A War with Mexico would solve ALL our economic woes. They have already attacked us.

Bush will never admit that the U.S. economy is in huge trouble. He knows we are headed for an economic melt down. The only reason the market is going up and down like it has been is because the feds keep lowing the interest rates, but if they did not imagine how bad the market would be. The market is going to fall and it will fall hard. You still cannot have 0 interests, no money down, and no payment for a year! That is what is killing this country along with Bush as president.

The US economy is weak because of the rascist Mexican Invasion. California will soon go bankrupt.

Now "dumbAss" Bush has failed to protect our borders BUT I don't see any difference in policy between McCain, Obama and H. Clinton.

MONEY
Since ancient times man has had a need for barter
Which is a French word that means to exchange or trade.
Before we relied on paper or metal coins
Arrangements for food, clothing and shelter were made.
As man developed, there was more to be exchanged
And one of the earliest forms of cash was cattle.
He who owned the most livestock was the richest man
Purchasing slaves, solders and weapons for battle.
Paper has been used since the tenth century A.D.
Because it was easier to carry than coin.
Used by every civilized country in the world
As their economies merged and joined.
Some say that money is the root of all evil.
Though the substance of evil is none other than man.
It's not money that causes most of what's wrong
But the ignorance of man, and his misguided hand.
By Tom Zart
Its the LOVE of money thats the root of all evil.

No one reads the original quote.

This is why journalists and politicians get away with so much. Peril at your own ignorance!

What makes you think Obama's going to make things worse? The trouble started under Republican rule of both congress and the whitehouse. Clinton cleaned up the recession inherited by Reagan/Bush. Kennedy did the same. Finally FDR cleaned up the incredible mess the GOP gave us during the depression. Historically the democrats have been better for the whole of America and the largest part of our economy, the middle class.

The U.S. economy has been flattening out ever since we elected a Democratic Congress in 2006. Congress appropriates ALL the money for government spending and they were much too slow in enacting the economic stimulus package that President Bush signed immediately after it was offered for his approval.

Dan,
You are the only one who has it 100% right. The rape of America started slowly about ten years ago, I believe that it is too late. America, you did this to ourselves. Some of us were too busy to investigate our intuitions. If we stop calling one another names, we can help ourselves. When America falls, we must be prepared to do it alone including defend ourselves against foreign invaders. I wondered why the Supreme Court agreed to hear gun rights now. If we lose that right, we know that the trouble is real. I do not think that he will leave office. Check the white paper. People may say that this in unpatriotic, but our fall (however severe; hopefully not) is the same as what many have plundered others. If America was built once, we can do it again.

Not too long ago the DOW was setting records everyday. Someone mentioned thanking Bush for their IRAs making money.
The hate mongers screamed that neither Bush nor ANY president has nothing to do with the DOW..
So what are you babbling about homer?
A majority of the problem is the deficit spending killing the value of the dollar worldwide. Another huge problem is the constant saber rattling in the middle east inflating the cost of oil which in turn inflates the value of all energy.

+ Oil costs are due directly to China and India buying up all of the oil supplies. The U.S. can't control the price of oil.
+ Mexican immigrants are good for the economy. They are very productive for low cost.
+ Most military spending goes to American contractors, servicemen's pay, American defense plants - it's an economic boost.
+ Social programs are a huge drain on resources with little return benefit.
+ Foreign aid is cash flow directly out of the country.
+ Americans buying foreign made goods cause the entire trade imbalance.

I dont think it'll be Obamas doing as much as that'll be about the time that the duct tape, bubble gum and baling wire that the current administration is holding the economy together will all let loose. Dubya is determined to hand the whole Republican created mess off to the next Democratic president so he can come off as NOT the prez who lost the war, fucked over the middle class and destroyed the economy. The economy is going to be an overwhelming problem for the next president regardless of party.

The greatest recession since the end of world war 2 will soon be upon us, second only to the great depression of the 1930's. This one will be worse however because people are so far in debt, most paid cash and had litte debt back in the 30's, many of those who had debt were the rich and they mostly committed suicide. If it was not for the war unemloyment would be double what it is today. Its no politicians fault, they did not tell you to borrow till the hilt, they did not tell you to leverage everything, they did not tell you to bid house, commodities, stocks into the hills, you did, the me, me, me I want it now generation did it to themselves, Now you will pay the price.

I can tell you're Repub by criticising social programmes. Neo cons take the entire human picture out of economics and then society ends up with huge crime and full prisons. Isn't that the contributing factor to spiraling economic crisis. Ignoring the people factor which promotes societal cancer and decay.

so the neo cons covertly intoduce killer drugs into society, draft the unemployed and genrally sweep everyone else under the carpet. Them blame everyone for being a drain on the nation.

I've never met a conservative yet who has helped.
