The reigning scientific consensus on sexual orientation is that itís an inherited, biological trait, but thatís just because scientists donít know how to party. A far sexier explanation has been offered up by Christian magazine Charisma, which conducted its own investigation into the origins of homosexuality to reveal the real culprit: sex with demons.

I think that publishing inane pro-superstition articles is clearly the result of demonic influence!(Either that, or the result of a gross lack of basic education.)

What's more alarming, that religion has fallen back into medieval superstition full of demons, devils and evil spirits who take the form of anyone they want to steal from? Or is it that 21st century people have made so little progress that they've fallen right back into the "dark ages" without even a whimper? Voltaire, an 18th century philosopher and political critic during the "age of reason" - same time our country became independent once said, "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you committ atrocities. Napoleon, of the same era said, "Religion is what prevents the poor from murdering the rich." We were more enlightened in the 1700's than today. Sad.

Many people mistakenly believe that there is a so-called human "march of progress" that is inevitable, natural, and leads to each generation of humans being, on average, in a better state than the one before it. It's a myth, and many people believe it. The fact that many people ARE better off now than previous generations may be just a fluke, and thee is always that possibility that for any number of different reasons, people of later generations will be WORSE off, economically, technologically, health-wise, etc. Any number of calamities, some natural, some not, could lead mankind back to the state we were in in the Middle Ages, or even worse than that.

Look how people were living and trying to survive recently in New York, the LARGEST city in the U.S., and obviously one of the most economically important, and technologically advanced cities in the world, after Superstorm Sandy cut utilities such as electricity, gas and fresh water, and severed transportation links such as the subways and roads. The threads that hold our modern world together, with all it's technological wonders and conveniences, is far more fragile than most people realize.

Some unforseen calamity could lead future generations worse off than people are now. And with that possibility comes the possibility of more people believing in superstion, "magic", and other similar things.

First the Republicans want us to travel back to the 1950's, and now this twit wants to march back to the Middle Ages. Next thing you know, some group is going to start looking for caves to dwell in, and dinosaurs to hunt for dinner.

It's the Muslims who want to take us all back to the 7th century. And it's the ecologists who want to take us all back to living caves.(No campfires allowed because of the CO2 ! Soeverybody has to live in Hawaii !)

In a sense, they were. Many scientists believe that the dinosaurs that DID survive, evolved into what we now call "birds".
