"2,000-page plus document is bound to contain the results of a hundred deals"

This is Dan using Brian Lamb and putting words in his mouth. Yeah, that's good journalism.

The debates on Healthcare HAVE been on C-Span same as always, the floor debates.

Have C-Span cameras ever been in confernce? No.

Obama promised MORE TRANSPARANCY, not the same transparancy...convenient for you to try to dismiss that.

Just another broken promise from the great and powerful OBAMA.

That seems to be what Democrats do best...

To that 50 percent who Hoped and Dreamed:

Reared on Alinsky... educated by affirmative action... engaged into politics with agenda to remake... preached at by a bigot... mentored by a terrorist... from a broken home and a promiscuous mother and a vacant father... adopted by a Muslim with extreme views... what made you think this would have a positive end. You are either stupid, ignorant of history or too naive to be in charge of a vote.

This is a forty year old plan to break a country. Don't be surprised when things go exactly according to plan. You, with your vote, paved the way for this nobody with nothing for credentials to be your President. You fed that fire. When the house burns to the ground, it's your fault. He is a tool... a cog in a wheel not of his own design. You did this with your eyes wide open. You hired a liar. Disbelief does not make him anything else. When you get a taste of the disrespect he intends to reign down on you, perhaps then you will reconsider your own motivations in handing the greatest country on Earth to this liar.....

Yes, calling an overwhelming majority of the electorate stupid is a great way to get people to see things your way. Well done.

By now we all know what is in the house bill and what is in the senate bill. We also know that the president leans toward the more populist house version.

To nitpick over a detail that may not be under the president's control at this point is simply taking pot shots when, compared to previous administrations, this is the most open government we've seen in 50 years or more

We the people voted Obama into office by an overwhelming majority. We did not expect infallibility, but courage. This bright and shining young star is doing an exemplary job in spite of those whose only interest is to tear down the fair winner of an election where their candidate lost.

I shudder every time I think of how much worse off we would be today had the McCain-Palin ticket won that election. No, it would not have been another term of Bush, it would have been worse.

It's getting very difficult to find good people to serve in public office. One of the reasons is the relentless nitpicking by people who would prefer to complain than to do something constructive.

You don't like what your elected officials are doing? Quit taking ugly pop shots at them in your personal conversations and columns like this, and communicate your displeasure directly to them. Write a letter. Get your friends to write a letter. Call or email your elected officials.

What you are doing here not only doesn't help, it harms.

Anybody who actually believes their is a difference between Obama, Bush, Clinton McCain, or any of the endless rabble of hypocrites running for office in this day and age is totally brainwashed by the government controlled main stream media.
These people are birds of a feather, and being told what, how, and when to say exactly what the powerful elitists who run the biggest organizations through out the world.
They are absolutely controlled by this powerful group, and do not make a single major decision either nationally or in foreign relations matters, without the go ahead of the ruling body of this group.
America is slowly but assuredly being "duped' into believing what these people want us to believe, both through the media outlets and the way they pit each party against the other both at election time and in between.
The saddest thing of all is that it is working, and we are slowly going down the path of no return.

I assume you are talking about the little known secret group known as the Bilderbergs!
They are indeed made up of the wealthiest people on the face of the earth, with members of almost every nation on earth.
There is also a group known as the CFR, or Council on Foreign Relations,of which every single member is said to belong to the "Bilderberg" group, including every president dating back to FDR, with the exception of Jimmy Carter.
If this be the case, then might it be fair to say that they are controlling the outcome of our presidential elections?
I have also heard that there is a major effort by this group taking place know for absolute dominance of the entire world, and a push toward the NWO, or one world government that we continue to hear about from leaders the world over.

This is why Obama GOT my vote
10. Look to the future: Senator Obama offers the most comprehensive energy plan of any Presidential nominee in history, it will end our dependence on foreign oil and create as many as 5,000,000 jobs. Senator McCain’s plan continues the Bush Administration’s policy of appeasement to Big Oil, does nothing to reduce our dependence on oil, and isn’t as good as Paris Hilton’s.
9. You pollute, you pay: Obama and Biden support plan to make polluters pay for pollution credits and to clean up toxic waste. McCain wants us to foot the bill for clean-up and to give polluters billions in tax breaks and subsidies.
8. Keeping us healthy: Obama and Biden have fought to keep our air and water clean. McCain has voted against clean water ten times and voted six times to make it harder for states and the EPA to keep our air clean.
7. Listening to the scientists: The Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says that America must reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2050 in order to avoid the worst effects of global warming. Obama’s plan will reach that goal. McCain’s plan falls far short.
6. The record speaks for itself: Senator Barack Obama earned a lifetime environmental voting score of 86%. Senator Biden earned an 83%. Senator John McCain earned a 24% score.
5. Decisions are made by those who show up: In the last two years, John McCain missed EVERY SINGLE major vote on energy. One vital 2007 bill, to move billions of dollars in tax credits from the oil industry to wind, solar and other clean energy sources, failed by one vote: John McCain’s. Obama and Biden, also running for President, voted for it.
4. Saving money at the pump: Obama proposes to double the fuel efficiency of our cars in 18 years, reducing our oil consumption by at least 35% or 10 millions barrels per day. McCain voted against increasing fuel efficiency in 2003 and 2005. He missed the 2007 vote. Presumably, he ran out of gas.
3. We’re not alone: For more than 20 years, Joe Biden has been at the forefront of the fight against global warming. In 1986, he offered the first Senate bill to fight global warming pollution. Since then, he has been the Senate’s strongest voice for making America the international leader in reducing global warming pollution and exporting clean technology.
2. Higher standards: To create millions of new jobs, we must boost production of renewable electricity. Obama plans create 25% of our electricity from clean energy by 2025. McCain opposes any national renewable energy standard.
1. Judge him by his friends: Senator McCain accepted more than $2 million from the oil and gas industry, more than half of that since he changed his position on offshore drilling last month. His forthcoming plan to open America’s playgrounds and sandboxes to drilling is expected to net another $1.2 million.

Obama is not the image that he has sold to the majority. He was not raised feel patriotism, to love his country, to love his fellow citizens, nor to love and appreciate the land that we love. His experience was much different than most of us...and his ideology is vastly different.

Obama has no respect for the American worker and taxpayer. He has and will use phony fronts - like "health care legislation" - but it will effect nothing for us except FORCED premiums - or a FINE to be collected by the IRS. Massachusetts has a form of the plan already...how's that working for you? But NOW you will be included in the southern states that suffer with untold millions of illegal aliens and those "new" citizens...all entitled to health care benefits, housing, food stamps, medical, utilities, unemployment, etc...- they will be lumped in and only the few of us that actually work - will pay 10-20% more of our net income just to get the start-up funding for this plan. NO ONE will receive any actual health benefits until 2013. So, the government is collecting these taxes for five years...and not until Obama is re-elected will the costs increase exponentially...taxes and costs rise...and the true fiasco of the bill becomes reality. In the next five years, you will be forced to buy from an insurance company from within your state...who has been steadily raising your premiums.

He hides behind closed doors, making "deals". This is business as usual for him. The idea of openness, respecting Americans, and simply doing the right thing - even if he personally disagrees with it - is queer to him. His arrogance has never allowed him to meditate on such a possibility.

We can't afford this and we all know it. While there are health care issues to address, there is a process in which to do so. This isn't it.

So, vote for BROWN, and let's sit down and talk about this health care like the adults that we are. It won't happen otherwise.

Brown=Bush policy.

Name 1 thing the republicans have done for the American worker.

The most significant political hurdle cleared for the American worker in the last decade has been the minimum wage hike.

Spearheaded by Ted Kennedy.

Opposed violently by the republicans.

Bring your "patriotism" to the unemployed and see if they can use it to buy food.

Putz.
