There is no doubt that the west would like to see Ukraine fall apart so they can bring western Ukraine and Lviv into the EU and HATO. Is that not why they cheered on the toppling of a democratically elected government with elections coming up in the not too distant future by mobs in the street? A desire for more lebensraum to the east? A hatred of democratic nationalism in Europe?
Sad how Germany was allowed to conquer Europe without a single shot being fired. Hitler and the Kaiser's dream fulfilled. They may have lost WW I and WW II but the Anglo Saxons handed them victory in WW III.
Viktor Yanukovych the crook used live fire on his citizens everyone knows.

We don't know the half of it, there is some serious factionalism going on within the country. Squabbling and a drive for power between ethnic and religious groups as well as the handful os super-rich oligarchs is boiling to the surface. For the working class, the previous policy influenced by Moscow had no less disastrous consequences. The wealth of the oligarchs rests on the systematic destruction of all the social gains since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the reintroduction of capitalism. The claim by right-wing loons, with room-temp IQs, blaming Obama is preposterous at best!
That sounds like an Occupy Wall Street rant of populist, druggie rabble just as dangerous as the neo-Nazi armed thugs standing over the Parliament in Ukraine forcing them to "elect" new leadership.

Neo-Nazi rabble killed first. Totally out of control violent scum in the streets targeted honorable police for killing. It's how Socialist scum commonly seize power.

Shouldn't worry about costs. There's always something to steal from the U S taxpayers to pay for foreign bulls--t. Obama, being a republican could call awol george and slippery dick, and get the particulars and applications for chinese credit cards.

With both Putin and Yanukovych behaving like corrupt governors of red states on the take, we need to support the interests of Ukraine's people, who deserve an ethical government, as do Russia's. It's appropriate for us to discourage them from ganging up against Ukraine militarily.

Abraham Lincoln fired on his own civilians too. That is what happens when rabble in the street seek to topple a democratically elected government.

If you did not like Yanukovych elections were coming up. Are folks in Canada unfamiliar with the basic concept of democracy? Change via the ballot is always good. Change by street thugs is always for the worse.

The crowd you are cheering on came to power precisely the same way Lenin and Stalin did. Are you an admirer of them?

Why do they deserve an ethical government? Look at the corrupt Obama administration or the German dominated psuedo empire called the EU. When it comes to a complete lack of ethics...

Sadly, Putin knows Obama isn't going to do a thing.

A lot of people on Russia's borders are going to suffer in the coming years. This is just the beginning.

Wouldn't you agree with me that we all deserve an ethical government? Or is the sole purpose of your post to cast aspersion without documentation on the Obama administration? Would you prefer to live in today's the US or Russia? So many questions.

Russia today is probably more democratic than at any point in its history. The USA of the founding fathers no longer exists. We are no longer that inobtrusive democratic government. Washington is now corrupt world policeman AKA global bully and in bed with folks like the Saudi royal family and communist China. The very thing George III was taxing the colonists so he could be. We are the ones in perpetual war somewhere around the globe.

What nation wages terror campaigns mainly against brown people far removed from Europe murdering innocent families in nations with which we are not at war with unmanned drones? Even the disasterous Bush administration would have rejected such policies as state sponsored terrorism.

Puerto Rico has buckled due to economic blackmail as well. Does that make them any less colonial possessions. But of course as an EU supporter you view democratic nationalism as bad and empire as good. You wish Ukraine to cease to exist as a sovereign nation and be part of some continent wide empire... ruled by bureaucrats in far off Brussels who could care less what is in the best interests of folks living in Lviv or Dnipropetrovsk.

At least you seem to have answered my second question, "Or is the sole purpose of your post to cast aspersion without documentation on the Obama administration?" President Obama is not our entire government; there are all those "other people" too.

I agree with you that, Russia today is probably more democratic than at any point in its history. At least that's the general impression they try to give, at least kind of.

If you were US president, what would you do differently from President Obama?

I am a Libertarian at heart and think with no nazi Germany and no Soviet UNion a return to pre WW II era isolationism is in order. As our founding fathers warned us we should avoid all entangling alliances.

How many wars can you think of where the USA was actually under threat? Pretty much all of them are boneheaded colonial wars someplace far removed from our shores. We have no business doing Saudi Arabia's bidding in the Middle East. Why do we target their enemies in the gulf one by one? Is it because they are a model democracy in the Moslem world? What business is it of ours which caudillo rules in Venezuela?

From Obomneycare to Obamanomics pretty much everything he has done is a disaster for this country. BTW... the same could be said of Bush, Clinton, etc.

Not a dime's worth of difference.

Amerika ain't gonna do nothing apart from issue hollow threats to Russia.

If Russia can stop Amerika from attacking Syria. How can Amerika even think of going to war with Russia?

Even a third world country like Iran is sailing it's naval vessels close to American territorial waters without any fear.

Putin will toss the paper tiger into the shredder.
