A black pastor told all black people that if they did not like their plight in life to change it, just the same as white, yellow and brown people do. He said if you look at Chicago alone, it should make you understand why many are afraid and stereotype blacks, especially the young and teens. The only way to change the beliefs of other people is by changing yourself.

Get hurt first, then go home so you will have a reminder of why you should NOT RIOT ! You cannot educate those who are unable to learn any other way than from experience. Stay in harms way and get the experience you need !

It seems "overkill" for journalists to be arrested, an alderman arrested, peaceful protestors arrested, folks in McDonalds and the police asking folks to stop videotaping.

Riot gear, semi-automatic weapons and armored vehicles?

Get out the facts, folks, as to what happened to an unarmed young man and why ....

People are coming from outside the community to cause trouble. Journalists are not always peaceful; I've witnessed journalists on TV actually giving people instructions on how to make Molotov gas bombs during increasing civil unrest. Cops are sick of being randomly killed in America and that is why they are militarizing. Overly sympathetic jerks aiding, abetting anarchy and Black violence, torture and murder of Whites for hateful irrational reasons have caused the polarization. It'll get worse and you all deserve exactly what's coming at you.

While concerns for militarization of police are justified, it is understandable. Drugged, violent idiots acting out in uncivilized ways are only made worse by you asses giving them lots of free money and flat screen TVs. Looters should be shot on sight. Arsonists should be shot on sight.

Of course - there is always a risk of rent-a-crowd like the Bundy shenanigan.

Arresting journalists and others has elevated this to a new level.,

The military hardware has elevated this to a new level.

The video of the smoke, noise, etc. has elevated this to a new level. It looks like Baghdad, doesn't it?

But, dear, it comes down to reasonable folks who want to know the facts as to why this young man was killed in broad daylight by a cop.

Violence is never the answer, looting is never the answer but give us the facts ... not too hard, huh?.

Boy, "harms way" should not include walking down the street in broad daylight.

It does not seem the kind of "experience" we need in our country.

Try again ....

Peaceful protests should be shut down at dark. Why are folks out late at night setting up a scene for those trouble-makers from out of the area. The city should set a dusk curfew for protesters just as curfews are set for the use of most of the local parks in the area. It does not matter who is in charge of keeping the order, city police, county, state, militia, all will do the same thing if the peaceful protesters start to looting and destroying buildings, etc. Tear gas, rubber bullets, tasers, hey, we got to keep our community from being criminalized by the protesters. I am all for doing the right thing but after-dark protests do not look like they are the answer to what Ferguson's citizenry are wanting.

i dont think most americans these days are. i have seen as much support for arresting protesters in "the land of the free" as i did when i went to russia. not that people here will admit that. "chuckles" the russians did not either. all downhill from here.

No, Russia doesn't have a bunch of rampaging idiots burning and looting. You have to travel West to Kiev to find the US inspired and funded street riots causing nothing but right wing lunatics coming to power in an illegal coup.

Instead of "nothing but right wing lunatics coming to power", I should have added "and slaughtering thousands of innocent women and children with weapons bought with US funds and support, even burning them to death and killing them if they try to get out of the burning building."

The US under Marxist Democrat Clinton did similar to that at Waco. It seems most of the slaughters of innocent women and children come during Marxist Democrat rule.

The police told people not to protest after dark. They did not listen. So land mines are the next logical step. Land mines and silver-back gorillas.
