Too bad they didn't have a backbone when the vote was taken.

So they want to be able to point to their record of voting for the bill when they come up for reelection, even though they know how crappy this bill really is.

What a bunch of cowards.

Why do politicians think they can tell people how to run their business? If they didn't want owners to have that option, change the law. I would serve everyone. It is not necessary to know their sexual behavior, but I want it to be my choice, not some politician.

These people need to be reminded of the present dangers homosexuals and other sexual perverts are constantly performing. For current example, a Democrat homosexual in Florida was found with much child pornography and has admitted to molesting dozens of Boy Scouts on outings. Another example is two Democrats convicted of molesting cows in New York, after surveillance camera caught them in the act.

A couple of instances nationally, where homosexuals are apparently behaving themselves does not represent the majority of homosexuals having hundreds and thousands of anonymous trysts as they spread death to others.

Hey mongoloid, there's been anti discrimination laws governing places of public accommodations in effect since the Civil Rights Act of 64. No wonder you hate the concept...racist.

Sexual orientation is not sexual behavior, you ignorant, disordered trash. And the problem is not business owners "knowing" someone's sexual orientation, the problem is business owners discriminating on the basis of perceived sexual orientation.

You right wing homophobes and tee baggrz are such stunted, anti rational freeeks it's disgusting you litter our cultural landscape.

This is open rebellion on American citizen by Republicans. There can be no greater evidence that elements off the Republican party wish to destroy the guarantees in the US Constitution of indivual freedoms and citizen rights.

Ahh yes, its the Republicans fault. Dont you ever have anything to add other than finger pointing? Like how do we solve these issues? Placing blame (right or not) does nothing to further the discussion. This is why the US is in the political savagery its in. Too many people want to yell and scream and place blame while not enough want to honestly fix issues. Much more headlines and ink in having a hissy fit.

There should be some way for people to keep their own principles. When the Government makes same sex marriage legal all over the country then a company must do what they are asked to do. But I don't see how you can say these people are legal in this state, but not in another, and make everyone comply, if they believe it is a sin. Do they not have freedom of religion? Is forcing someone to go against their own beliefs not violating their constitutional rights? Do we have any rights under a Democrat Administration?

You are apparently not familiar with the Civil Rights act or would like to see it repealed. Suggest you read up on it- the issue it resolved was destroying America. We decided your right to discriminate wasn't worth the price of an entire nation.

Simple to solve. Mind one's own business and respect individual civil rights like keeping your religion from infringing on the rights of other citizens

Darling, Part of it is your perception of what constitutes "participation" is a subjective call at best. Offering a good or a service does not mean an endorsement to which the good or service is used, and it doesn't infer participation. If it did, it would mean breweries endorse and participate in every drunk driving and ensuing wreck, every gun manufacturer would be said to be endorsing and participating in every crime committed with a gun. But time and again we do not legally time make that connection and liability. What is being ask as a standard of justification, this "moral objection", is both subjective and speculative, and if you are going to license it under the law as a prerogative have, you owe us a little more than that. So far I can't find any scripture that specifically and unequivocally forbids you from business transactions with any groups of people; in fact your only mandate is the upholding of high standards on the Christian's part. So dealing asking someone to do business with someone you do not agree with isn't forcing a Christian to go against the tenets of their faith. The bottom line is there's no "there" there,, just a gimmick to get around legal restraints and as phony as a three dollar bill.

There is a way- don't choose to open a business to the general public. You can run a private members-only operation and discriminate to your heart's delight.
