Congressman Who Gets Millions In Farm Subsidies Denounces Food Stamps As Stealing ‘Other People’s Money’

http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2013/05/21/2...

USDA data collected in EWG’s 2013 farm subsidy database update — going live tomorrow –shows that Fincher collected a staggering $3.48 million in “our” money from 1999 to 2012. In 2012 alone, the congressman was cut a government check for a $70,000 direct payment. Direct payments are issued automatically, regardless of need, and go predominantly to the largest, most profitable farm operations in the country.
Fincher’s $70,000 farm subsidy haul in 2012 dwarfs the average 2012 SNAP benefit in Tennessee of $1,586.40, and it is nearly double of Tennessee’s median household income. After voting to cut SNAP by more than $20 billion, Fincher joined his colleagues to support a proposal to expand crop insurance subsidies by $9 billion over the next 10 years.

Here's something on Obama for ya....I think the thread is more about Rush though.

Is the Economy Saving Obama’s Approval Ratings?

http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2013...

Political coverage over the last week has focused on a series of stories that reflect negatively on the executive branch — but President Obama’s approval ratings have held steady. As of Monday, Mr. Obama’s Gallup approval rating was 49 percent — the same as it was, on average, in April. Mr. Obama’s Rasmussen Reports approval rating was 48 percent, not much changed from an average of 50 percent in April. Mr. Obama’s approval rating in a CNN poll published on Sunday was 53 percent, little different from 51 percent in their April survey. And in a Washington Post-ABC News poll, Mr. Obama’s approval rating was 51 percent, essentially unchanged from 50 percent in April.

Somebody in another forum told me SOBE was trying to get a patent on a new invention. He has some kind of tubing that he has rigged up so he can fart right into his nostrils. Just between you and me, I doubt if anyone will buy it.

Bush's war on terror is over

http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/24/opinion/bergen-...

For the first time on Thursday, President Obama laid out the full scope of his proposed counterterrorism strategy, and it boiled down to this: George W. Bush's endless war on terror is over.
And that's appropriate, since the enemy Bush went to war with after September 11 has largely been defeated.

Thank Goodness hopefully he holds up to it...

Original thought... hmmmm Yeah why do your posts sound like middle schoolers? Inventions? Pipes? Farts? Pretty childish. Tea Parties I guess? Hell even John McCain is riling against the Tea Partiers... Let's see the GOP had the High Court change the law so the party can buy an election? Twice as much money as Obama and what happened? You would think someone in the GOP would go hey douche bags you have it all wrong? Well Obama is enjoying his numbers while the GOP invents scandals after scandals that no one buys. This will help Hillary in 2016. Then there will be some serious gaskets blown in the GOP.... Damn you just can't make this shit up...

Obama's drone strikes are Al Quaida's biggest recruiting helpers.

Obama is better at singling out people like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity than he is at being commander in chief.

Why have people gotten the tea party stuff started? Why does Obama think bigger government is good?

The scandals are real.

Obama may go down like Nixon did.

It's probably working. He's so busy farting into his nostrils that he doesn't have time to post in topix or even piss into his fan.

What difference does it make if he posts in here or not? All he does is post stuff that he has calculated will aggravate someone whom he has imagined is a tea party type or GOP diehard conservative. He isn't smart enough to understand anything except his new invention.

Don't encourage him. He'll just use his spot in the limelight to showcase his new invention --- the tube set he uses to fart directly into his nostrils.
