Down but not Out? Dems reject Senate fiscal plan, but leave door open

Oct 12, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Fox News

What appeared to be perhaps Congress' best plan to solve its double-whammy fiscal problem fizzled Saturday when Democrats rejected a proposal by Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins that had bipartisan support.

Passing the Continuing Resolution has bipartisan
support, but Boehner will now allow a vote in the
House.

Why is he shooting it down?

Ask a Republican if he is in favor of
Obamacare and he will say no.

Ask the same Republican if he is in favor of
the Affordable Care Act and he will say yes.

How can anyone deal with numbskulls like that?

Speaker John Boehner told House Republicans Saturday morning that his efforts to strike a deal with President Barack Obama are at a standstill.
There is no agreement, Boehner said in a room in the Capitol Saturday, and there are no negotiations between House Republicans and the White House, since Obama rejected the speakerís effort to lift the debt ceiling for six weeks and reopen government while setting up a budget negotiating process.

Don't think the republicants have come even come CLOSE to GOOD.

And when they do, perhaps it will be accepted?

Bring on a vote, Boehner.

Why both attempting to talk to the kids in the house.
Talking with Collins is most likely the way out of this sorry episode

The Collins measure included a delay of a provision of ACA.

Did not the President and Harry Reid before hand say there would be no delay of ACA?

How many times does the same message have to be recounted before the Republicans hear what the People's representative are saying to them?

It's as if the entire Republican Party is fatally stuck on stupid.

The Republicans are proving to the Nation they are not the Party of Ideas.

Obama is intent on destroying America economically.
He was not satisfied with the credit downgrade; he is focused on complete disruption, if not elimination of American credit. If default occurs, you can thank Obama and no one else because Obama insists on being given the powers of a king. Thank goodness, the people's representatives are holding fast on this point, while offering proposals to avoid economic chaos. Unfortunately, the Senate Damnocrats refuse everything presented to them, Obama lap dogs as they are.

His plan is simple. Donít negotiate with the terrorists masquerading as congressional leaders.

You idiots are only upset because your terrorist extortion plans have failed miserably.

The House is composed of the people's representatives and only the people's representatives. Over 40 times, they've demanded to be heard and each time the BUSINESS representatives in the Senate ignore them. Even a very recent request to be given the same consideration as big business , I.e., a one year delay of the Obamacare tax, was denied. The Damnocrats would rather send America into credit default than delay a tax to the people in the same way king Obama unilaterally delayed for Business.
It's as if the entire Democrat Party is fatally stuck on dangerous.

Faux News and its GOP allies need to realize - the Dems and Obama DON'T HAVE TO NEGOTIATE. There's nothing for them to negotiate. They're jsut trying to keep government working.

Repubs want to "negotiate" but have only destruction of our government and way of life to offer in turn. They should be arrested for treason instead of being allowed to cause disaster.

Absurd bullshit.

Dems have been trying to negotiate this for months - to no avail. Clearly the GOP wants to attack and destroy mr. Obama and his signature legislation, and will stop at nothing to do so. This is their new way of dealing with the opposition - to regard them as 'the enemy,' the way they did Mr. Clinton. It's pure, disloyal, anti-American partisan hatemongering.

YOU are the fascists. YOU should reap the rewards of your fascist attacks on our nation.

You're a liar. The Credit downgrade was caused by Republicans, obviously, playing the same games they're playing right now.

You're projecting your own anti-American ism onto Obama. That's dishonest and disgusting, as well as stupid.

Bullshit, scumbag...

The Left is in full spin mode to hide the downgrade's obvious cause ó the "massive two-year binge of deficit spending embarked on by President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid. During the debt-ceiling debate, instead of dealing honestly with the debt problem. Peelsosi and crew spent like drunken sailors from 08-2010 when the American people put a plug in it....LMAO. The demorats casued the downgrade, caused the recession, caused Behgazi (oh the republicans cut funding)...how funny was that.

No responsibility for anything...the demorats are little snot nose children playing with the taxpayers money.
