I hope the first order of business is impeaching Reid for voter fraud and his role in voter intimidation with the casino employees. A shame he wasn't defeated outright.

The Republicans have no one but themselves to blame for not gaining the Senate and getting rid of reid.

The republicans had 2 years to search out and recruit quailified candidates that could win elections.

And all they did was sit on their butts and wait to see who showed up to run as a republican.........
and then tried to throw enough money around to make chicken salad out of chicken $hit candidates.

The republican party blew it big time with this election.....even though they made a lot of head way.

Now, republicans have a chance to learn from this screw up and start tommorrow searching for candidates for the 2012 elections.......
and stop supporting air head candidates just because they throw their name in the ring......

The democRATS -- aka the party of lies and corruption -- have held BOTH houses of congress since the 2006 elections and they've driven us to ruin.

Democrat fiscal damage incarnate, in 5 consecutive posts....

looks like it back to the old establishments of phony conservatism and liberalism:

House Winner - Republicans
Senate Winner - Democrats

despite all their talk, the "TEA" party (as suspected and confirmed) failed to show up on any ballots and was merely GOP pretending to be something else.

well actually the socialist party is pretending to be the TEA party. sarah palin raised taxes and redistributed the wealth through the Alaska dividend program. she benefits from the program today and didn't even bother to try to get rid of it today.

i agree though on the democrats being progressive and forward-thinking though.

It is good to see that the "airheads" like angle, palladino, o'donnell to name a few were not considered worthy of enough votes to win. That should be a lesson, folks, when you choose your next teabag "representatives" - answer questions, keep low on the wackjob looney tune meter and have some cojones!

Congratulations to those who were "written off" by the toxixers on topix - namely Boxer, Reid, Pelosi, etc.

Nope ... The oil belongs to Alaska ... the oil companies pays royalties on the oil they remove ... just like oil companies pay royalties to any land owner ... now the money can either go into the Alaskan government coffers, or be distributed to the Alaskan citizens ... I think distributed is a better idea. Unlike socialism, the oil companies profit from buying the crude oil, and the people profit equally ... both rich and poor. You don't take from those who work to earn the money, and give it to someone because they are poor. Now if they put the money in government coffers to pay for social programs for the poor ... that is socialism.

This will work out well for the GOP. They can stop the "Rubber Stamp Express" but still blame Demoncrats for the failed policies because they still own the Senate and White House. Also, Kasich won in Ohio and the New Atty General in Ohio is also GOP. This means Obama will lose in 2012.
I agree Curtis, this will work out well for the GOP. Did you play a victory song on your dobro?

I'm glad the stinging loss was Barack Obama's old seat. For Chicago to go republican, that truly is a tectonic shift.

Yep. I grabbed a fifth of Mad Dog 20/20 and played the Pelosi Blues. Poor Nancy. I'm sure she would cry if her tear ducts were not soldered shut.

Nope...the oil belongs to the oil companies. They paid to produce it. The government taxed their production profits. And redistributed it to the people. The people do not own the oil nor did they work for it. What is socialism to you is a moving target depending on whether the person is a democrat or a republic isn't it? The phony conservatism is strong in you. "..distributed to the Alaskan citizens", "..the people profit equally ... both rich and poor"....listen to yourself, you sound like a sociliast.

You are a foolish ignorant person. The mineral rights belong to the land owner ... and when gold or copper or oil is found on that land, a company pays royalties to extract the gold or oil from the land. Socialism always has a loser. You take from one to give it to another, and always do it not equally, but according to need. In the case of the oil royalties, all parties benefit. It is capitalism ... not socialism. I hope you are too stupid to be able to find a polling place.

A firewall has been instituted now. Those western state elections with the still stupid north east will take longer to learn. You see Responsibility, we are all fools in our lives from time to time. Or at least most of us. We elect people from time to time and they never stop running. Their power increasing as they pontificate. An easy thing when a nation is at growth and the money extracted from other people is easy pickens. Well we vote these people in over and over. At some point we become fools. Being that many of these people have been in power for decades and have passed legislation that have helped to make our economic issues worse, well then we are fools. But now, in some parts of America , after the economic issues happened we have had a chance to try new people, and the voters voted the same ones in that cause many of the problems we have. So I will use the Democratic side. The California people, the Schmuck Reid from Nevada, Barney Fwank from Mass....YOU RE ELECT THESE SCUM BAGS...THEN YOU TRANSITION FROM FOOLS.....TO TOOLS....YOU AZZHOLES ARE TOOLS! A pee nus connected to a nut sak on a pink flag is your moniker. This is the most peaceful way to regain our freedoms. A little less for the priveleged while we all live half decent. But that is not enough for the same tried and true crap that has caused massive violent clashes in human history.

Ya think? The Democrats still control the Senate and the White House. There was a move to the CENTER, no revolution. NOW Republicans have to put up or shut up.
