Read this story Folks. The 'New York Daily News', report on the USA's,'Monument to Stupidity', the '50-year-plus-embargo on Cuba'. The writer has hit the nail on the head. YOUR GRANDFATHER'S FIGHT, is still being carried on, by your Republican members of the Senate and Congress, from Florida. They are the sole source of information in the USA,(and beyond), of information regarding Cuba TODAY,(and for the last 50 years). This is a TRAVISTY!. Because of these GOP lackeys, the USA has lost out on being the prime supplier of Goods and services to Cuba! During the past 50 years, Cuba has had to seek out reliable suppliers for all their needs. They have found these countries, and they are QUITE SATISFIED, with the quality and price of their goods.
In a few years, Cuba will be a viable, Sovereign, Socialist/Democratic, Nation. It's too bad that the United States Government, allowed the GOP Politicians, run their Cuba 'Terrorist', Campaign. You Snooze, You Loose, boys.
No MacD's and Walmarts, on every corner,(Thank God).

Yes to all the above.

Yet the Batistians you support who run Miami and their abusive police seem to be getting even worse.

Hate and ignorance are well entrenched in the hearts of people like Liger and they are far from losing.

Even WJDC who is a pseudo "reasonable" man is prone to irrational Batistian loyalty to corrupt fascists and their ideology.

The ban is a failed farce but the self serving if not corrupt assorted Miami Cuba libre politicos use it to stay in office.

I fear for Cuba when many of these right wing extremists return and spread their filth.

Lol you funny Batistian as your own Miami right wing politicos are against free labor unions , any speech they disagree with and election fraud is common here.

Freedom of assembly ? You mean so that the Miami Cuban run police are called to break it up.

I do find Jay Z the most overrated rapper out there and amazed he made it in music.

He ruined the song NY by ALICIA KEYS , thankfully she later does the song on her own without his rap.

That it is true but we (U.S.) tolerate the Saudi regime.

Who are no less "despicable" and they have been our "friends" for a lot longer than Cuba has been our enemy.

"Combined with severe repression of all forms of dissent and a weak human rights framework, there is now an almost complete lack of protection of freedoms and rights."

An Amnesty International briefing paper, launched on Friday, describes the shocking scale of abuses. Thousands of people have had their lives devastated by violations of their basic rights. Some have been arrested and detained in virtual secrecy, while others have been killed in uncertain circumstances.

Hundreds more people face secret and summary trials and possible execution. Many are reported to have been tortured in order to extract confessions or as punishment after conviction.

Of the thousands detained by the authorities, some are prisoners of conscience, targeted for their peaceful criticism of government policies. The majority are suspected supporters of Islamist groups or factions opposed to the Saudi Arabian government’s close links to the USA and other Western countries.

The abuses take place behind a wall of secrecy. Detainees are held with no idea of what is going to happen to them," said Malcolm Smart.

"Most are held incommunicado for years without trial, and are denied access to lawyers and the courts to challenge the legality of their detention. This has a devastating effect on both the individuals who are detained and on their families."

Just pointing out the hypocrisy of our policies and politicians.
